California really does exist in Germany. It is a village on the Baltic Sea directly behind the dike on the Kiel Bay. And there you will find our house.
Via a small sandy path almost directly in front of the door, you are only 150m from the white and fine sandy beach. The dog beach is 30 m away.
The house can accommodate a maximum of 4 people. The property is completely fenced and a dog is warmly welcome. For the cold season, the holiday home is equipped with a wood-burning stove in addition to the heating system. Firewood is provided. For the warm summer season, the house has been fitted with air conditioning.
In addition to a kitchen and a living-dining room, the house also has a small shower bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one of which is a walk-through room. The large garden is fenced. Ideal for people with dogs. And also ideal when traveling with small children. New: There is a barrel sauna on the outdoor terrace. And it is included in the rental price.
A small grocer, fish stalls, snack bars with outdoor seating, mini golf, bike rental, and a bakery can all be found within 200 meters on foot.
At Schönberger Strand, with its ferry dock just a short bike ride away, you will find even more extensive outdoor dining options.
In Schönberg, the main town, you will find all common supermarkets and other everyday necessities.

Discover the small holiday home Piratennest – a cozy and inviting vacation destination on the Kiel Fjord.
The real California lies directly on the white Baltic Sea beach. With the small shortcut, you can see the Baltic Sea after 50 m, and after 100 meters you can dip your feet in the water. The dog beach is 300 m away. Near the campsite, which is 100 m away, there is also a section of the beach reserved for nudists. Our house in California, on a 600 m² fenced property, offers the ideal starting point for a relaxing vacation. Enjoy peace and relaxation close to the beach.
And for the even colder days in spring, a new barrel sauna is now also available for chilling.
The small village offers you the opportunity to reach everything on foot. The nearby grocery store ensures the supply of good-morning rolls and there is also a small supermarket on site. A bicycle workshop with rentals makes you mobile on site. Right next to it, the mini-golf course invites you to play. Also nearby, directly behind the dike, there is a small gastro area with fish, pizza, ice cream, and much more.
The nearby Schönberg can be easily reached by bicycle and by car. Here you really find everything—from A for auto repair shop to Z for dental practice.
But the big city of Kiel with its extensive cultural and museum offerings is also not far away. So there is no such thing as bad weather on the Baltic Sea; there is always something to discover.
By bus and train to California? That works very well: with bus line 200 over 25 times a day from Kiel main station to the stop "Schönberger Strand."
By bicycle to California? From Kiel Central Station always along the Kiel Fjord. Past Laboe and many other great Baltic Sea towns.
