A warm welcome to the Fichtel Mountains – welcome to the Fichtelsonne holiday apartment in 95686 Fichtelberg.
Our cozy holiday apartment offers around 60 square meters of space for 2 to 3 guests. You can expect a lovingly furnished home away from home with a comfortable living room including a wood-burning stove, direct access to the terrace and the fenced garden, a spacious kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed, as well as a bright bathroom with shower and toilet. The fireplace provides cozy warmth and a real cabin feeling on cold days. The firewood is stored right next to the stove – so nothing stands in the way of a cozy evening with a crackling fire.
For your comfort, all utility costs, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, and Netflix are already included in the price.
The bedroom features a comfortable double bed and ample storage space. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa that can be used as a sleeping place for a third person, or also gladly for 2 smaller children.
A flat-screen TV, Netflix, DAB radio, as well as WiFi are of course also available free of charge.
The new, open kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, and the most common spices – everything you need is there. The bathroom is bright and pleasantly designed and offers a shower, toilet, washbasin, and a hairdryer.
The holiday apartment is located at Kalvarienberg and yet centrally in the village center. The garden may be used as well. A large parking lot is located directly at the house.
Children up to 3 years stay with us free of charge, a travel cot for children is available free of charge upon request. Several restaurants, an ice cream parlor, a supermarket, clothing stores, a pharmacy, and a gas station with fresh rolls daily are all within walking distance – it doesn't get much more convenient than this.
This is a non-smoking apartment; smoking is of course permitted on the terrace.
Dogs are very welcome here.
The pet fee is €13 per day for up to three dogs, each additional dog costs €5 per day. Food bowls, a dog bed, and dog towels are provided. Directly from the holiday apartment, paths lead into the forest, romantically along a stream – perfect for long walks or hiking tours. Guided hikes are also available upon request.
Washing machine and dryer can be used for a small additional fee.
The holiday apartment Fichtelsonne is the ideal starting point for hikes to the Ochsenkopf, to the Schneeberg, or to the romantic Fichtelsee, which can be reached on foot in about 30 minutes. Even in bad weather, there is no chance of boredom – for example, with a visit to the thermal baths in Weißenstadt.
In winter, we have snowshoes and a sled ready for you.

Very cozy holiday apartment
Well-equipped and extremely dog-friendly, we spent 5 beautiful days here. Very cozy apartment right by the forest and near many beautiful hiking destinations.

A truly beautiful first vacation apartment experience.
We felt completely comfortable. The accommodation is really spacious for two people. The living room invites you to relax after hiking, and there is a Netflix account for movies and series. The bathroom is very large. In the kitchen, you will find everything for cooking. The accommodation was very clean, and during our stay, towels, etc. were provided to us without being asked. All in all, a top accommodation, very kind and nice hosts, and all in an ideal location for hiking in and around the Fichtelgebirge. Our tip: Directly walk from the accommodation to Ochsenkopf!
