Montpezat is a charming village in the south of France with medieval architecture.
On the largest canyon in Europe between the Southern Alps, lavender fields, clear bathing lakes and the Mediterranean, between light and shade in the garden.

Leisure: tennis, 2 bikes, 1 canoeClear blue water and beautiful hiking trails between gorges, wild lavender and flocks of sheep. For day trips - the cultural cities of the Rhone Valley and the Cote d'Azur! But the colours and smells of the Provençal villages, wine producers, artists' markets and restaurants in the immediate vicinity are also waiting to be discovered! The wild nature of Haute-Provence awaits hikers with good mountain boots, by canoe or with our mountain bikes in all seasons... By car: Either via Switzerland: Geneva, Grenoble, Sisteron, Manosque, Greoux, Allemagne, Montagnac or Lyon, Aix, Greoux, see above. Car train from Germany: to Alexandria/near Turin: from there another 250 km or to Avignon (approx. 100 km) or to Frejus (approx. 80 km) By plane to Marseille or Nice (both airports approx. 1 1/2 hours' drive away! Book a hire car in advance!)

Super accommodation in absolutely quiet location

Better doesn't get. Dreamlike.
We spent 14 wonderful days in this holiday home.

The pictures and the description are 100% accurate.

You enter the house and feel at home. No sterile accommodation like in many other houses.
It is super cozy furnished, the beds are very comfortable, and with the fly screens, you can sleep with the window open at night.
No traffic or barking dogs disturb. Breakfast and dinner can be wonderfully enjoyed on the terrace covered with vine leaves overlooking the lake or in the winter garden (here, the sliding windows can be opened wide, giving the impression of sitting outside).

You can also have dinner at the Belambra Club, which is a 10-minute walk away (buffet), but you must register and pay one day in advance.

The nearest supermarkets are in Riez (12 km), and the PROXI is even open all Sunday. In Riez there is also a gas station (24-H / card payment).
Fresh baguette was available for breakfast at the camping site "Marvilla Parks," which is 2 km away.

In the house (and also in advance - from the landlord) there is a lot of information about the surroundings.

The kitchen of the house is fully equipped.
You will find all the spices and utensils you need, so you don't have to bring anything from home (what you consume should be replenished on-site). buying. )

Opportunities arise at the many markets in the area. Here you can find everything fresh from the producer.

A parking space is directly in front of the house.
The accommodation can be absolutely recommended.

At home in Provence

The holiday apartment is wonderfully situated near a reservoir of the Verdon. The Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon, the Lac de Ste-Croix, the lavender fields at the Plateau de Valensole, and charming little towns can all be easily reached by car from there. The apartment is equipped with everything you need – even a canoe can be used! The landlord is very happy to provide useful excursion tips upon request and is always helpful and easily reachable with any questions. You should have a car for shopping, as there are no stores nearby.
Anytime gladly again!

For over 30 years I have used a quiet holiday home in our beautiful village in a private residential complex as a teacher during many holidays and have corrected many exams in the wind-protected Levendel garden - even in winter! - because our 4 metre high orleander tree and an arbour made of vine and a climbing rose cast a wonderful half-shade...Now I am retired and we often drive to our neighbouring village without through traffic...
