Discover the idyllic charm of Burgerbrug in our holiday flat Klein Rosenbrand. This cosy 1st-floor holiday flat is perfect for a romantic getaway or a quiet retreat, with space for 2 guests in 55 square metres of living space. The flat has a sitting area, a dining area, kitchen, sleeping area and a bathroom, designed with a mix of comfort and style. There is also a loft with two extra beds, accessed via a so-called miller's staircase.
The flat is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Burgerbrug, overlooking green meadows and the dunes of Schoorl and a natural horizon that makes every sunrise and sunset spectacular. The garden is a peaceful space to relax, surrounded by lush plants and the tranquillity of nature.
Inside, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle and coffee machine. The sitting area is perfect for socialising. The sleeping area has comfortable bedding and the bathroom has a washing machine, ironing board/iron and hairdryer for your convenience. A tumble dryer is available downstairs in the house.
The flat also offers private parking and a terrace where you can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views. Bicycles are available for guests who want to explore the surroundings. The property is equipped with Wi-Fi so you can stay connected to the outside world.

Burgerbrug is a small, quiet village in the municipality of Schagen in North Holland.
The house with the apartment is located just before the unique West Frisian Omringdijk and less than 5 km from the beach of Petten, where you can enjoy the sea and the beach.
From the house, you have a view to the east of the West Frisian Enclosing Dyke, to the south of the Schoorl Dunes, to the west of the village of Burgerbrug, and to the north over the meadows (and sometimes also tulip fields).

Nice apartment

We bought this house in May 2022 and have lived here together since 1 August 2022. Heleni Greeve is an artist, gives Reiki and foot reflexology massages; Peter Rosenbrand owns the publishing house Aan de Tijd and is an avid gardener. We are delighted to transform the garden, which looked like a building site, into a place where it is pleasant to be. Trees, shrubs, plant borders and flowers have been planted or sown around the terraces and the large lawn. Everywhere you can find a spot where you can sit out of the wind and in the sun and enjoy the free view all around. Furthermore, in consultation with the Hollands Noorderkwartier Water Board (HHNK), we manage the pumping station adjacent to the house. This pumping station was dismantled (i.e. no longer working) in 2017, having replaced the burnt-down mill A in 1928 (link about the background here). The mill stood on a mound with sand taken from Eenigenburg. So the house is also on the mill's mound and is visibly higher than the surrounding pastures. The pumping station contains information on the history of the mill and of the Zijper polder. The house is equipped with a heat pump, which provides both hot water and heating. Wifi is available throughout the house.
