Description
Cosy house built in the typical Cycladic style of the island with two floors and three terraces. The house can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults. The terraces are about 10 square metres each. Each terrace is equipped with a table and several chairs. The sunset can be enjoyed from the upper terrace with a cool drink in your hand.
On the ground floor there is a front terrace with a beautiful flower garden and a rear terrace with a panoramic view of the island and the sea. There is a (small) bathroom with WC and shower. The living/dining room is equipped with a four-ring hob including oven and fridge. The sofa can be converted into a cosy sofa bed. There is also a large dining table with five chairs. Direct access from the living area to a covered terrace facing the sea with a unique sea view.
On the first floor there is another (small) bathroom with WC and shower, a king-size bed and another terrace with a wonderful panoramic view across the island to the sea.
The house is approx. 70 square metres in total. All floors are made of white marble. This means that they always stay nice and cool, even when it is very hot outside. Bed linen and towels are provided in the house and are included in the price. There is also a small travel hairdryer. A fold-out, additional guest mattress can be provided (+ 10€ / night). In the basement of the house there is a washing machine and some beach equipment that can be borrowed (parasol/fins/diving mask etc.). There are games for young and old in a drawer in the living room. A small library with German-language literature is available and can be read with pleasure. Wifi is available in the house, the reception is very good, Zoom calls etc. can be made and films can be watched. There are mosquito nets on all windows and a fan is available. You can also create a good draught by leaving the front door and the patio door open at the same time. There is a public car park in the immediate vicinity of the house. My German housekeeper Reinhard lives on Naxos and knows how to help quickly and easily with problems and questions of all kinds. House Ariadne is a non-smoking house - please smoke only on the terraces. You can bring pets - only by prior arrangement.
The prices vary depending on the season from 70 - 110€ / night (70€ November to April / 110€ May to October). If you want to stay longer than three weeks, I will be happy to offer you a special price. Minimum stay: 1 week.

Location and surroundings of object
The house is located on a hill (Kapares) above the former fishing village of Agia Anna, which has been discovered by tourism in recent years. This has the great advantage that you don't really need a hire car, as everything is within walking distance.
There are nice little tavernas and family restaurants, cafés and bars right on the beach. There are several small supermarkets (the nearest one is 200 metres from the house) which are very well stocked and where you can get everything you need for your daily needs. There are also cash machines and several car and motorbike rental companies in Agia Anna. In high season, a public bus runs every 30 minutes (until after midnight) to Chora, the centre of Naxos.
The most beautiful beach on the island of Naxos, Plaka beach, is a good 600 metres away. A beautiful sandy path leads directly down to the beach. Plaka beach is 7 kilometres long and offers crystal-clear, wonderful water and fine, clean sand. If you want, you can hire sunbeds and parasols or sit on your own towel. Water sports are also possible. Horse riding, diving and kite surfing can all be organised. The beach is also very suitable for families with small children, as the water is quite shallow.
