Vacation Behind the Dike

We spent a week there in September with 4 adults. Had a great time. The house is right behind the dike, short distance to the sea. Mattresses very good. The only downside, the bathroom very cramped, no shelves. The second toilet was really just a makeshift solution. Built so tightly. Terrace has everything, 2 loungers, seating set, grill. We used it a lot. Service was great, the girls nice and helpful.

Extended weekend

The accommodation was very nice. The communication with the Rose team was very good. We accidentally left valuables behind at departure that you kindly sent back for free.

Somewhat tight but well located

Overall, we were quite satisfied, but we wouldn't want to stay here much longer than a week. This is mainly due to the kitchen, which is very small and remote, but very important for us food allergy sufferers (eating out is always associated with risk). I must also admit that we did not pay enough attention to this beforehand. For vacationers who eat out a lot, this is not so relevant. Good dishes are plentiful, mattresses and cushions for outside are in order. Most windows have a fly screen - this is very advantageous. In front of the front door, there is a sandbox with toys, on the lawn a swing - ideal for children of the appropriate age. Negative is the Wi-Fi (in apartment 2), reception too weak for streaming. Downloads of apps or updates are hardly possible - for emails it is sufficient, but that is not up to date. It is also worth mentioning the wooden ceiling, which runs continuously through the duplex, meaning that if someone is loud in the other half of the house on the upper floor, it sounds as if they are directly above (if you are in the living area on the ground floor). Since our neighbors were quite quiet and not night owls, this was not a problem. The freely accessible washing machine was fine, but only after I removed the light brown substance from the sealing ring. For such a high final cleaning fee, I expect top cleanliness, sorry but I'm picky about that. Otherwise, everything was available that one needs.

The house serves its purpose for overnight stays. The furnishings are well chosen. The rooms are also functionally designed. However, we found some trash under the bed in two bedrooms, which we either disposed of ourselves or reported to the nice receptionist. The house could use a renovation (preferably the tiles – there are no joints left, and the tiles in the hallway are somewhat "floating," to the point that one is afraid of breaking through ;) ). The location is very nice. It is very close to the dike, and the proximity to the playground and the swimming ponds is great. We will definitely come back. However, we would probably choose a different house.

Great holiday resort

Beautiful lower floor with a small bathroom, small toilet, and an even smaller kitchen. We only used the lower two floors since it was just the two of us. Our daughter had the neighboring half of the house with four people and maintained the same arrangement, as the upper two bedrooms were not particularly practical to access. A well-kept semi-detached house, but overall only suitable for friendly families. The outdoor area is very noisy, but there's a nice terrace and a surrounding lawn area. The staff of the Rose vacation rental were incredibly friendly and personal in advance. We felt well taken care of.
