Ližnjan is a fishing village with a small sheltered harbour on a small peninsula on the southern tip of Istria. The place overlooks the clean blue sea and the Kvarner islands in their full beauty. There are as many as 28 kilometres of beautiful and unspoilt beaches, most of which are rocky. The history of this small town is truly fascinating, with evidence of settlements over 7000 years old, the remains of Roman villas, pieces of amphorae and ancient wrecks still in its waters. It is ideal for nature lovers and those who want to relax away from the traffic but at the same time be close to the tourist events.
