The small heath village Wadelsdorf between forest, field and meadows with its 180 souls is a district of the town Spremberg (also known as "PERLE der LAUSITZ") in the south-east of Brandenburg in the district Spree-Neiße, south of Cottbus between Spreewald and Neisse valley.
+++The Confiserie Felicitas, a small Belgian chocolate factory, is located in the Hornow district and can also be visited. Children are allowed to decorate their own chocolates under supervision.
+++ St. Martin's Church in Hornow, first documented in the Meissen diocese register in 1495
- since about 1560 the church has been a Protestant church
- the huge oak tree north of the church is a pedunculate oak with a trunk circumference of approx. 7.00 metres and is the

* The Felixsee (4 km) near Bohsdorf is not only a good bathing lake, but
but also a good diving lake in the middle of the Muskauer Faltenbogen.
a 36-metre-high wooden-steel observation tower is located directly on a hill at the Felixsee lake
and renovated in 2022.
There are a total of three platforms at heights of 4.5m/7.5m and 30m (191m above sea level). Numerous information boards on the first and second platforms provide information about the region and its geological history. Admission is free and everyone can climb the 160 steps to the top platform themselves with a magnificent view. But it is also easy to get there by bike, as there are numerous well-developed cycle paths in the surrounding area.

Our region is sparsely populated but very rich in forests and wildlife. Not only asphalted cycle paths but also the many forest paths invite you to go hiking.
In the wild there are not only deer, roe deer, hare, wild boar, fox and others, but we are also a wolf region, but don't be afraid of them, they are very shy and nevertheless live in Brandenburg. (as of 2020) in 15 wolf territories at least 49 packs and 10 pairs; in Saxony 29 packs. Together, these two federal states account for more than 60% of all wolves in Germany, most of them here in Lusatia. The owners of sheep, whose animals are being killed more and more frequently, are the ones who notice the presence of wolves.
Due to a lack of money in the budget, the state of Brandenburg no longer pays compensation to small breeders of sheep and goats for animals killed by wolves.
