Pure relaxation in a dreamlike location!

We were totally thrilled and had a dreamlike vacation. The modern house and the well-maintained property in a unique location directly by the lake invite you to rest and relax. There is no lack of anything both inside and outside, and you wake up in the morning with a beautiful view of the lake from the bedroom. Very nice and attentive landlord, who leaves nothing to be desired.

Dream vacation on a beautiful property

We were there recently and had a wonderful vacation. The property is a dream. The house is also beautiful. The landlord was very nice, always available and approachable for all questions and wishes. The recreational equipment on site such as table tennis table and fire pit, as well as kayak, rowing boat, and canoe, was great and we enjoyed using it. It was great for us that our dog was allowed to travel with us and could enjoy all the amenities on site with us. Very nice neighborhood and absolutely recommended for all people who are looking for peace and relaxation.

Stylish holiday home with a huge plot of land and direct access to the lake!

After our originally planned vacation in Bavaria had to be canceled due to high corona incidence rates, we found the vacation home in Rethorn at short notice.

The first impression on site was even better than in the photos - a huge property with direct access to the lake and a chic vacation home. The location on the sleepy lake is unique and greatly enhances the quality of the stay (except for the mosquitoes in the evening...).

We (two families - 4 adults, 2 children) really enjoyed the week in Rethorn. The children could hardly be torn away from the lake and loved paddling with the boat or kayak (both from the house!) as well as acrobatic jumps on the "Tarzan rope" into the lake. The adults enjoyed the tranquility, relaxed rowing on the lake, and the proximity to destinations like Oldenburg, Bremen, or Bremerhaven. In the nearby Bookholzberg, you can find supermarkets and restaurants, all conveniently accessible by bike.

The new vacation home (built in 2020) is chic and well-equipped - luxurious bathrooms with walk-in showers, a modern kitchen, fireplace, and lots of glass everywhere.

The size of the house is more optimal for 4 people - with six people in nice weather, it was not a problem, but in bad weather, it would have been tight (only three people can comfortably sit on the couch).

Two of the three bedrooms are in the basement, you have to like that - on the other hand, the chic bedroom on the 1st floor is difficult to darken and (like the rest of the house) becomes very warm very early in warmer outdoor temperatures. The mattresses in the basement were very hard.

What is missing is a proper grill. However, there is a large fire pit with a grill grate.

In terms of price, the house is felt to be at the upper end - but here you pay for the overall package of the house, property, and lake location.

We had a great week. The house is definitely recommended!

Absolutely recommended! Relaxation guaranteed!

We were four (2 adults and 2 children) plus a dog in this great accommodation, with the fantastic view of the lake from the living room/kitchen. In lovely autumn weather, our teenagers also had fun with the canoe on the lake. The landlord is very attentive, and the communication was more than pleasant. We will definitely come back!

Pure relaxation

The pictures of the house looked very promising. We were not disappointed. A wonderfully quiet place with plenty of space for an active vacation or just chilling out. The contact with the landlord was uncomplicated and very pleasant.

Stylish, relaxing, simply top!

We spent a week in the quiet town of Ganderkesee without ever getting bored. The garden alone offers extensive opportunities to indulge in sports activities as well as to completely relax. If you do decide to leave the beautiful property, cities like Bremen and Oldenburg can be easily reached by car. Following recommendations, we chose not to use the washing machine and only briefly visited the tennis court. Here we are only complaining on a high level. Pack Antibrumm and the holiday is secured! :D

The stunningly beautiful and well-equipped new house, both inside and out, with the still dreamy garden directly on the lake (with a pier, bathing ladder, canoe, rowboat, and other small boats) contributed greatly to a wonderful, overall very relaxing, and, as was evident during the day visit of the grandchildren, also child-friendly holiday experience. We already had a very friendly and reliable contact with the landlord during the booking phase, which was confirmed during the handover and return of the holiday home. We will definitely come back!

Repeater from Hameln

This year, we were in Rethorn again. This time for 2 weeks. It was once again wonderful days. Fishing and swimming, delightful. The weather was unfortunately only mixed, but the rest was wonderful again. Just peace and nature. It was certainly not the last time.

Dream at the Lake

It was a great week with wonderful sunshine. The equipment of the house leaves nothing to be desired. Meanwhile, the sofa has been replaced with a cozy reclining landscape and invites to relax. The waterfront property is simply magnificent and untouched by nature. If you are looking for relaxation and peace, this is the right place. A landlord who leaves nothing to be desired. We will definitely come back again.

Ein absolutes Paradies

My friend and I wanted to have a little budget-friendly break. With this holiday house, we hit the bullseye.

The house is located far from any sources of noise in a small one-way street right by the lake. It has its own small driveway, a large meadow with a dock to the lake, and a small garden with seating. It is equipped on two levels with everything you need for living. Furthermore, it is lovingly furnished, giving a homely feeling right away. In case of bad weather, there is also a small fireplace.

The lake is perfect for swimming. A rowboat and a surfboard were also part of the offer.

Our contact with Mr. Wittmer himself was always very friendly and accommodating, leaving nothing to be desired.

All in all, we would come back at any opportunity!
