200m from the seafront in this family seaside resort of the West Cotentin, Le Cabestan is a very bright holiday home with contemporary touches offering generous space (110m²). You will be charmed by the comfort, the amenities provided, and the garden designed for relaxation.
The large beach and the tranquility are the assets of this small seaside resort in the West Cotentin. Nearby, the connection to the Channel Islands from Barneville-Carteret, coastal paths. On the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, freezer, induction hobs, Dolce Gusto...) open to the large living room (pool table), cozy lounge with pellet stove and large-screen TV (Netflix, ), a large bedroom (160 cm bed - small dressing unit - TV), WC and shower room from December 1, 2025. On the first floor: 3 bedrooms (2 twin beds per room - small dressing unit), a bathroom (walk-in shower - rain shower head - hair dryer), separate toilet.
Outside: independent games room (foosball - large-screen TV - dartboard - sofa), enclosed garden, furnished terraces at the front and back (garden furniture - deckchairs - barbecue), ping-pong table, swing, pétanque court, garage (washing machine - dryer - extra refrigerator). For your comfort, bed linen is provided, and the beds are made upon your arrival. Baby equipment available on request (travel cot, high chair, bath/changing table). Cleaning service (€85). Pets allowed for a fee (€7/pet/day). Electricity extra in winter. Free Wifi/Fiber – Netflix & Amazon Prime available.
You will have access to the swimming pool at our campsite LES CAROLINS in SAINT LO D'ourville (2 km from the gîte) from April 1st to October 30th. The pool is covered and heated to 29° throughout the season.

A beautiful vacation home with improvement opportunities.
We had a beautiful week in this holiday home.
In terms of location, it is fantastic.
The variety it offers is great. Grill, table tennis, kicker, billiards, . . . . . .
However, the furnishings could be of better quality. That would be soooo nice. The garden chairs outside the house are unusable because they are so cheap that the plastic becomes loose and you think the chair is defective.
Similarly, the garden chairs, loungers, and chairs in the house are not of good quality. The forks and spoons at the table are so cheap that they bend. Likewise, the kitchen utensils.
That's a shame because the house is really nice, and we can truly recommend it.
Therefore, we found the price for the accommodation to be very high. We looked at and compared other houses on-site.
You could pre-order baguettes at the campsite that borders the garden. That was great. The beds were fine.
The communication with the landlords before arrival wasn't so great. Sometimes we didn't get a response. On site, it was different. We had to pick up the key from the owners at the campsite, about 5 minutes away by car.
The washing machine is in the garage. While it is elevated, the garage has a dirt floor. That is not very pleasant, as something can fall onto the dirty floor when taking out the laundry.
The house is perfect for pets, as it is completely fenced.
Despite everything, we had a nice time due to the good weather and proximity to the beach.
At the direct beach, dogs are not allowed on the beach from 9 AM to 7 PM in the summer. However, two beach sections away, it's not a problem for dogs to be allowed on the beach during the day.
