Dear guests,
our modern log holiday home ( NR ) is located in 07929 Saalburg-Ebersdorf ( Thuringian Slate Mountains, near the Bleilochtalsperre and near the origin of the Rennsteig and is therefore ideal for water sports and hikers. The house is habitable all year round with modern electric heating. The furnishings include a large living room with seating area + flat-screen TV & radio and with a modern kitchenette (coffee maker, toaster, kettle, 4 ceramic hobs and fridge), a separate bedroom with double bed, a bathroom with toilet/shower/washbasin and an open sleeping loft in the gable with two beds. The living room couch can be pulled out if necessary and offers one or two additional sleeping places. Quiet location with parking space, separate garden, in summer with pool use and sporting leisure activities such as table tennis, boccia, badminton etc. and the beautiful relaxing landscape, offer relaxation in every season. Get to know the many interesting excursion destinations in the region. Bathing fun, wellness and relaxation can be found in Bad Lobenstein, 5 km away, in the modern Ardesia Therme. The overnight price for our Feha for 2 persons is 50,00 € incl. and electricity costs. Each additional person pays 8 €, each pet 5 € extra. In the months of October to April there is a heating surcharge of 10 € per day.

Our modern log holiday home ( NR ) is located in 07929 Saalburg-Ebersdorf ( Thuringian Slate Mountains, near the Bleilochtalsperre and near the origin of the Rennsteig ). Quiet location with car park, separate garden, in summer with pool use and sporting leisure activities such as table tennis, boccia, badminton, etc. and the beautiful relaxing landscape, offer relaxation in every season. You can recharge your "body battery" in our in-house "Wellness Oasis". For one thing, the body-detoxifying infrared sauna or various massage treatments where you can really let your soul dangle. Ebersdorf is a small, quiet district of Saalburg-Ebersdorf. Restaurant = approx. 60m away, shopping market and bakery = approx. 100m away. The charm of the Ebersdorf landscape park lies in the harmonious interplay of wide meadow areas with groups of trees, closed stands of trees, the course of the Friesaubach stream, the two ponds - all connected by a network of promenade paths. The castle park offers a relaxing walk at any time of the year. Wellness and recreation can also be found in the Ardesia Therme in Bad Lobenstein, 5 km away. Furthermore, the summer toboggan run, the fairytale forest, the boat trip on the Bleichlochstaussee lake and much more offer plenty of variety for young and old.

Homeland!
We were three people for three nights in the vacation home of the Otto family.
First of all, I must say that I have never experienced such friendly and warm hosts!
From the moment of our greeting, we felt comfortable.
The little house had everything we could wish for. We were able to cook beautifully with great equipment. The garden was super relaxing, with a pool and a wonderful homey atmosphere. We received great and helpful tips for the area and events, and there was always an open ear for us.
We would love to come back from the heart!

Very nice
We took a week off with our two dogs. It was very nice. The holiday home is very cozy. We really liked it and the dogs were also very balanced. The hosts were very accommodating and very nice. We would gladly come back.

Have a nice weekend!
We stayed with our dachshund Seppl from 19.7.24 - 21.7.24 in this vacation rental. It is a very nice accommodation. Everything you need for a relaxing vacation is available. Especially enjoyable for our Seppl was that the property is fenced in and he could run without a leash. The landlords are very nice and accommodating. We found the shared use of the pool to be very good in these temperatures.

Winter holidays also work without snow
At least there was snow on the day we arrived, but unfortunately there was hardly enough for tobogganing. But it didn't spoil our week at all. The house is great, Mrs Otto gave us tips on shopping during our arrival and had already preheated the house, so the boys immediately took over the gallery. We felt very comfortable. Every morning as a highlight for breakfast - animal cinema at the feeding house with squirrels, chaffinches, nuthatches, bullfinches, robins, greenfinches and countless titmice. The small Edeka reminded me of the consumption of my childhood. We also spent a day exploring the hiking trails in the village and discovered the Ruhmühle mill and farm shop. I can only recommend it, young people who now supply flour to bakeries in the region and gave us a little guided tour on the side. A visit to the show foundry in Wurzbach is also worthwhile, the employees are very dedicated and for little + big boys, even joining in is encouraged. Trips to the Saale Tower (pack some change for the automatic admission machine), after 192 steps there is a magnificent panoramic view, not far away is Burgk Castle. The Altvaterturm in Lehesten is also worth a visit, even though it has a controversial history. A beautiful area even in winter.

Super reception
The holiday home was very well furnished the landlady (Mrs Otto) was very polite and obliging it was a very quiet place to relax and recharge our batteries we were very satisfied we will definitely come back.

Super nice, cosy, clean, cosy ...
We spent a week of the Easter holidays in April 2022 in the Otto holiday home. The house is very cosy, clean and well equipped. When it's cold outside, the electric tile stove is just wonderful. The terrace and the small garden are also perfect. You could also use the larger garden, which has lots of outdoor games. In summer, there is also a pool - but unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it at Easter.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto are very friendly and helpful - thank you again for everything.
There is also a restaurant about 500 metres away (in the hotel). Otherwise, there are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity - but the opening hours are unusual for spoiled city dwellers. In a small, quite cute Edeka directly in Ebersdorf you can actually get everything you need on holiday. We also went hiking directly from the house. For other activities, however, you need a car. We also had fun in April, but I think the area is even more recommendable from June onwards - because then you can really enjoy the advantages of the Bleiloch reservoir.
As destinations, I can recommend the fairytale forest in Saalburg for families with children up to about 12 years, the ice cream parlour in Saalburg, a boat trip from Saalburg, renting a motorboat (without a driving licence), visiting the Bleiloch dam, the Feengrotten adventure world in Saalfeld (also for older people) with the best mine tour ever, Thuringian barbecues, hiking, swimming in summer, the summer toboggan run in Saalburg ... There is a lot on offer here. And the Otto holiday home is a perfect starting point.

Short holiday 2020
We can highly recommend the vacation home. Excellent landlord, very friendly and everything is top clean. Unfortunately, we had to leave early for personal reasons. It's always worth a visit.

The furnishings of the holiday home are quite run down, partially broken as well. Everything is full of cobwebs and very dusty. Luckily, we had nice weather, so we were only in the house to sleep. The only highlight was the pool.

Hallo "Ute aus Bechhofen", schade dass Sie zu den wenigen Gästen gehören, die nicht den Mut haben, Probleme direkt mit dem Vermieter zu klären um Lösungen zu finden. Wir sind stets bemüht bei der Anreise neuer Gäste unser Feha ordentlich und sauber im Innen- und Außenbereich zu übergeben. Wenn man im Sommer die Tür den ganzen Tag offen läßt, lagert sich natürlich nach 2-3 Tagen wieder Staub ab. So ist es eben auch in der Natur mit Spinnweben im Innen- und Außenbereich. Vielleicht sollten Sie sich Ihren nächsten Urlaub in einer sterilen Gegend suchen. Zu Ihrer Bemerkung "kaputt" erstaunt es uns, dass gerade bei Ihnen z.B. ein Liegestuhl eingerissen ist und Sie bei der Abreise das Feha und den Außenbereich sehr liederlich verlassen haben und nicht einmal den Anstand besessen haben, sich persönlich zu verabschieden. Übrigens, wurden vor Ihrer Anreise Toaster, Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher neu angeschafft, da der Toaster beim vorhergehenden Gast kaputt gegangen ist. Das passiert, man muss nur den Anstand besitzen, dies auch mit uns zu besprechen. Unsere Motivation sind freundliche positive Gäste, die teilweise auch schon mehrere Male uns wieder besucht haben.

Great accommodation, gladly again!
We were at the SMS with 4 people at the beautiful holiday home in Saalburg - Ebersdorf. We were welcomed warmly and our landlords of the vacation rental were very nice, we immediately got along with them. We really liked it and we will definitely come back very gladly.

Urlaub mit Hund
We spent a very nice week here with our dog, even though the weather was not always on our side. Already with the booking documents, you receive a large package with information and tips for the town and the surrounding area. We were received and taken care of very nicely! We also took advantage of the offer of a relaxing massage. The house is cozy and had everything we needed.
