In the generously designed living-dining room you can make yourself comfortable in the evenings, enjoy the cosy warmth of a fireplace on cool evenings or just the view of the countryside.
The bright and spacious fitted kitchen is extensively equipped and invites you to cook and bake.
In front of the kitchen in the east there is a cosy breakfast terrace, in the south a generous terrace with a wonderful view of fields and salt marshes, in the west a long, narrow terrace - so that you can always follow the sun around the house.
A sauna is integrated in the bathroom, which offers space and relaxation for 3-4 people; here you can not only enjoy the classic sauna, but also relax with an ethereal steam bath.
The house is a low-energy house and has gas central heating; living/dining room, kitchen bathroom and entrance are additionally equipped with floor heating.
The large private parking space in front of the house completes the offer.
The "Hus unner de Birn" is a non-smoking house and also welcomes your dog as a guest.
Are you adventurous?
Wonderful excursion destinations by bike or for hiking, e.g. to the nature reserve Geltinger Birk. Families with small children love the shallow sandy beach 200 m from the house or the wide sandy beach near Kronsgaard. Gelting Bay is an insider tip for surfers and kite-surfers.
In the spa town of Gelting (2 km) you can get all the essentials.
Culture lovers can discover the museums in Flensburg, the moated castle in Glücksburg, Schleswig and many gems along the Schlei.

Location and surroundings of object
The idyllic village of Wackerballig is located directly on Geltingen Bay. There is a small sailing harbour with a restaurant right on the water. The shallow bay is very popular with families with small children. You can start wonderful hikes or bicycle tours directly from the house, e.g. along the sea either in the direction of Gelting Mole (sailing harbour, restaurant, café) and further in the direction of Flensburg or along the dam to the nature reserve Geltinger Birk and further along the sea to the Schlei and to Kappeln. From Kappeln there are wonderful boat trips along the Schlei to Schleswig.
In summer, Nabu offers guided tours of the fauna and flora and bird tours in the nature reserve. There are many little gems to discover along the Schlei and in the hinterland (Maasholm, Sieseby, Arnis and many more).
