My name is Franca Maddalena, I am the daughter of a Sardinian migrant worker named Giuseppe Murroni. Even as a child I was proud of my Sardinian origins, we enjoyed spending time with our family in Castelsardo. My father always dreamed of returning to his homeland one day, to live in the house his father, my grandfather, built for him. Unfortunately, my father could no longer fulfil this dream, as he died much too early. As his daughter, I would like to realise and live his dream. So I renovated the house with the help of my Sardinian family and gave it my father's name. It makes me proud and happy to follow his footsteps and perhaps leave new ones, to be and become part of this history.
