Description
You will be a guest in the house of a young family who will also be present during your stay. Here you can choose to stay in the stuga (tiny house in the garden bordering the forest) or the guest room on the first floor in the house. The prices shown in the calendar are for the stuga, the guest room on the first floor is about 10% more expensive. Of course, we will make you a competitive offer when you apply. The kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared areas, which you can of course make unlimited use of.
The rooms are suitable for 2 persons and/or a child. The guest room has a lovely double bed (180 cm) with the possibility of an extra adult single bed and/or cot. You also have access to the private terrace with stunning views of the mountains and forest.
The stuga is surrounded by nature and has a bunk bed, consisting of 2 single beds with the possibility of an extra cot. Of course, you have access to free Wi-Fi. Both rooms have a seating area inside and on the terrace. Besides electricity, tea and coffee, there are no further facilities in the room, but guests have access to the living room, kitchen and bathroom in our house.
There is a coffee machine and kettle in your room with a selection of tea and coffee, but you also have access to our espresso machine with freshly ground beans in the kitchen.
The bathroom has a shower and toilet. As a service, we can also do your laundry for a fee.
You are welcome to stay in the living room on a lovely couch, just like your room it has central heating. In the stuga by means of an electric radiator. In the living room you have access to Netflix or HBO Max on the TV. If the owner is present, you also have the option of playing on the Nintendo Wii or PlayStation 4. VR is also an option here with wonderful games for young and old. On request, we can lend you an iPad so you can enjoy Netflix or HBO Max in your room.
The kitchen is fully equipped: dishwasher, fridge, oven, microwave, espresso machine with freshly ground beans, kettle with a wide selection of teas, plenty of crockery and cutlery. For the "chefs" among our guests, a Kenwood food processor and blender are also available. A dining area in the kitchen is not lacking either.
We have a menu available for breakfast (125,- SEK) and dinner (175,- SEK). You can join us or enjoy your meal in privacy. Upon request, we can send you the menu. You can always choose to prepare your own meal in our kitchen.
The rooms are rented with 1 set of towels per person and of course clean bed linen, which is included in the price.
The beds have two single blankets, extra blankets and pillows are available.
Parking is on site and there is room for several cars of different sizes.

Location and surroundings of object
Our house borders untouched nature, a beautiful vast forest directly accessible through the backyard, there are several hiking trails from our house. After a brisk walk, you look out over a beautiful lake, which characterises Sweden. Besides moose, deer, reindeer and squirrels, there is even a chance of spotting lynx!
Our house is particularly suitable for those who like to spend time in peace and nature, but you can also visit Ytterhogdal and Rätan for snacks and drinks. Although the village is quite remote, our house is directly accessible from the E45. Also, public transport is good and a bus even stops right near the house towards Ytterhogdal and Östersund.
Överhogdal is called Sweden's longest village, although there are few inhabitants, the village stretches far along the E45. There is untouched nature with the Hoan River flowing through the municipality, surrounded by mountains, nature reserves, meadows, lakes and beautiful forest environments just around the corner. The area has its charm in every season. In summer, you can swim, take endless walks in the forest and enjoy nature. Both around the house and in the surrounding forests you can wild pick delicious berries everywhere, black, blueberries, currants and many more forest fruits. In winter, there are several ski resorts nearby, you can skate in Ytterhogdal and nature looks even more fairytale-like.
Överhogdal is a true paradise for nature lovers and hikers. If you are looking for peace and nature to unwind, this is the ideal place. Those who experience these forests and calmness often feel the need to come back. The clean air is also truly an experience in itself, perfect for recharging completely.
In summer, the air is clear and the sun often shines. In winter, the winter landscape is magical, especially after frost the snow shines like diamonds under a bright moon, truly beautiful to behold.

Great vacation

Swedish Delight

Lovely family place
Lovely place to stop by on your way to the north. Garden is nice, the kids loved it (and also playing with the kids of the owner), very easy to find , easy to refill water or to empty.
It was a sweet moment there !

Lovely B&B in the middle of Sweden with the sweetest owners
I guess we were about the first guest at this lovely Forest Family Home. The house is practically in the middle of Sweden and hard to miss.
Bianca and Gavin are incredible host that go the extra mile. The rooms are comfortable and the house is close to all the things you want to visit.
Next time we go to Sweden again we will definitely return!

We are Gavin and Bianca and live with our sons Enzio and Niyo alternately in beautiful Sweden and sunny Portugal. From the moment we drove into Sweden on our long campervan trip, we fell in love with the wooded and beautiful country. We decided to buy a holiday home in Sweden and we would like to share this wonderful place with others. We enjoy meeting new people, but respect it if there is just a need for privacy. You are always welcome to join us for a meal or play (VR) games together in the living room. Our 2 young children receive flexible education and enjoy playing with other children. There are therefore more than enough toys in and around the house. We have always been very interested in travelling and recreational rentals and the opportunity is there in both. We do this with a lot of love and passion. Our goal is to give ''guests'' a great holiday and where better to do that than in Scandinavia or Southern Europe.
