Discover Vieste, a charming Italian coastal town with gorgeous sandy beaches and cliffs.
The historic old town is car-free. You can bring your luggage from the car park at the Castello into the house. A parking space near the Castello can be arranged.
You can reach everything on foot. After 140 steps you are at the Ripa, where the Viestans swim. The northern sandy beach behind the new harbour is especially popular with surfers (15 min walk). It is just as far to the Lungomare. Here you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds, but you can also enjoy your holiday on the free beaches.
In the evening, you can prepare something delicious on the barbecue and enjoy the terrace or indulge in culinary delights in the numerous restaurants in the old town or simply enjoy a glass of wine in the evening at the old harbour.
Excursions with grotto boats and sailing boats are offered in the harbour.
You can reach the Tremiti Islands by ferry.
Excursions to Castell del Monte, Luccera, the market and old town of Manfredonia and Vico, the place of pilgrimage San Giovanni Rotonto (to San Pio), Monte Sant Angelo with the grotto basilica as well as a Norman castle should not be missed and last but not least the Gargano with the Foresta Umbra which on very hot days invites you to hike through forests with oaks and beeches.
