Description
Recreation and adventure in the Nordic wilderness
When furnishing and equipping the holiday home, we have paid special attention to the well-being of our guests without neglecting the rural character. After your adventures in the fantastic nature of Lapland, you can end the day with a good book in the cosy sofa corner. A four-poster bed full of Lapland dreams awaits you for your night's rest.
The cabin is self-catering, which means you have a fully functional kitchenette with fridge, cooker and sink. (Breakfast for or half board for can also be booked with us on request).
There is a shower and WC in the bathroom next to the bedroom.
The building has been kept in the style of the Nordic tradition. The building material used is mainly fir and pine wood, which was felled in the northern Scandinavian forests and processed in local handicraft workshops. The interiors are heated with environmentally friendly geothermal energy, which guarantees a comfortable temperature in almost all seasons. But the real Lapland feeling only comes when the fire crackles in the fireplace and its flickering glow spreads throughout the cabin. Therefore, we have installed a wood-burning stove in the cottage for the 'cosy factor' and for particularly cold winter days.
The green roof keeps it pleasantly cool even in summer temperatures - which can reach +30°C even in Lapland.
The cottage is highly recommended for family holidays but also for single holidaymakers and couples.

Location and surroundings of object
The area around Sorsele with its rivers and countless lakes is one of the best fishing areas in Northern Scandinavia. The river, which is rich in fish, is about two kilometres wide in front of the property and offers the best conditions for boating, swimming and fishing. Here you can fish for noble fish such as salmon, trout, grayling and char. But pike, perch and whitefish (vendace) are also frequently hooked.
For hiking enthusiasts, the surrounding mountains and the vast fell landscape are both an adventure and a nature experience in summer and autumn. Here you can see reindeer, moose and eagles.
In the winter months, the area enchants with snow-covered forests and the typical tranquillity of the north. At this time of year, the northern lights are particularly intense. Now is also the time for snowshoe or ski tours. For alpine skiers and snowboarders, the Nalovardo ski area offers several slopes for all levels of difficulty. The skiing area is only 4 km away from your holiday home. For your summer or winter tours into the wilderness of Lapland we recommend the guidance of our mountain and wilderness guide Joachim. He was trained in Sweden, knows the region and can tell you a lot about the history of the north and the Lapland culture. More information under "" The small hamlet Bjärdakken, where your holiday home is located, has only three permanent inhabitants and is situated 18 km outside the village Sorsele at the wild river "Vindelälven". The approx. 1.5 hectare meadow property is surrounded by forest and easily accessible via side road 363. The river, which is rich in fish, is about two kilometres wide at this point and offers the best conditions for boating, bathing and fishing.
