Our holiday flat is located on the south coast of Sicily in a small quiet village,
which is 15 km away from the provincial town of Agrigento.
The flat is located in the heart of Realmonte.
In a few minutes you can reach:
a bus stop, a nice ice cream café, a fruit and vegetable stand, as well as a small supermarket.
Realmonte itself is a small village with about 4000 inhabitants. It was founded at the end of the 17th century by
by the family of Duke Castrofilippo.
Well-known sights of Realmonte are the ruins of a Roman villa,
the Turkish Steps and the lighthouse overlooking the beach.
You can also visit the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, 15 km away, or take a day trip to Scaccia
a day trip towards Scaccia, passing Ericlea Minoa (archaeological excavations and museum).
Scaccia itself is a harbour town with many sights, which specialised in ceramic handicrafts.
