Set inside a beautifully restored 19th-century castle stable near Pépinster, this Ardennes holiday home combines countryside calm with the sort of character that immediately makes the stay feel memorable. Sleeping up to 14 guests across seven bedrooms, the house is surrounded by forested hills, walking trails, and historic sites that make it equally appealing for hiking weekends, family gatherings, and slower countryside escapes.
Most mornings begin quietly on the terrace overlooking the valley before the day drifts toward cycling routes, nearby castles, or walks through the surrounding woodland. During warmer months, afternoons naturally settle around the barbecue and lounge spaces while evenings stretch comfortably late between the two cosy living rooms after everyone returns indoors.
Musée du Fort de Tancrémont sits almost directly beside the house and offers guided tours through underground WWII fortifications and preserved military tunnels. Château de Franchimont can be reached within roughly 13 minutes overlooking the Hoëgne Valley, while Forestia lies around 9 minutes away for wildlife walks and treetop adventure courses. Guests looking for scenic hiking routes should also explore Ninglinspo Valley approximately 18 minutes from the property, where forest trails cross waterfalls and rocky stream paths through one of the Ardennes’ most beautiful landscapes.
