The narrow streets and alleys are paved with cobblestones and there are many historic buildings to admire. Monticello is only a few kilometers from the sandy beaches of l'Ile-Rousse and the immediate vicinity is home to nice restaurants where you can enjoy the local specialties, such as the famous Corsican wine.
