Description
Anilac is a picturesque little hamlet at an altitude of 800 meters, consisting of 3 houses and two barns, which we have lovingly restored with local and natural materials such as stone, wood, and slate.
We are located in the Parc Naturel Régional of the Ariège Pyrenees and have a beautiful panoramic view of Mont Valier (2838 m).
Here you will find peace and relaxation surrounded by nature: meadows, forests, a large flower garden, and a breathtaking view of the mountains. In the summer when it is very very hot, it is cool in the house because the walls are very thick and made of natural stone.
The 70 m2 house consists of:
Ground floor:
- Large living room with 2 armchairs, oak table, 4 chairs, baby high chair on request, a large open fireplace
Kitchenette: Gas stove, electric oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, etc... A French door provides access to the private north terrace with garden furniture (very pleasant in summer)
- 1 bathroom with large tiled shower, sink, electric radiator/towel dryer, hair dryer
- A toilet separate from the bathroom, washing machine
On the first floor:
- Room 1: An attic room with a large double bed (160x200), 2 nightstands, a wardrobe, a baby bed (max 2 years), blankets and pillows
- Room 2: Attic room with two beds (90X190), 2 nightstands, a wardrobe, blankets and pillows
Exterior:
- From the living area, you have direct access to the private terrace with flower garden, garden furniture, 2 sun loungers

Since we live next door, we are happy to provide you with information about the most beautiful hikes (hiking maps are available) and also what to visit in the area such as the world-famous Niaux Cave with rock paintings or the Mas d'Azil Cave, Montségur the Cathar castle, the Château de Foix and many other things. Animals are not accepted because we have pets ourselves: two lovely cats, Miz and Tigrou.
The price includes electric heating.
The tourist tax is €1.21 per person per night.
Option to rent bed linen for €15 per person, towels for €10 per person.
The beds are made upon arrival, the linens are washed with ecological products and dried in the fresh mountain air.

Pure relaxation!
We (a couple in our 60s) had a very nice and relaxing week in this quaint holiday home. A private terrace in a beautifully landscaped garden, a very comfortable bed, and the convenient location for motorcycle tours and hikes impressed us. The landlords are very friendly and helped us with advice and action when we had a technical issue. Those who love nature will certainly feel comfortable in this house.

Relaxation - chicken entertainment included
Thank you very much for a relaxing week in the Pyrenees!
We really enjoyed the quiet location of the flat, its homely and tasteful furnishings and the beautifully landscaped terrace. The colourful flock of chickens that visited us again and again was entertaining and we were very happy about the tips for hikes from our landlords.

Pure nature
The holiday home is the middle part of a house complex with 3 houses. On the left side live the landlords, on the right side there is a larger holiday home for up to 6 people. The house itself is idyllically situated in a very well-kept and lovingly designed garden (park), away from any road noise - so it is "only" suitable for holidaymakers seeking peace and quiet. Anilac is surrounded by meadows and forests.
We stayed in this holiday home for the first time. The house corresponds to the description in all points. The quiet location in the countryside with a magnificent view of the Pyrenean mountains with Mont Valier (2,838 m) and amenities that leave nothing to be desired guarantee a relaxing holiday. The size of the house is certainly sufficient even for four people - as there were two of us. From the living area there is direct access to your own furnished terrace. Internet access is available in the house via W-LAN.
From the holiday home you can reach numerous starting points for hikes and mountain tours in the Parc Narurel Regional of Ariège Pyrénées. However, a car is required. We did not use any other possible holiday activities. Shopping facilities can be found in Oust (4 km), Seix (7 km) and supermarkets in St. Girons (20 km). We recommend the "Hostellerie de la Poste" in Oust and the "La Gourmandine" in Seix.
The contact to the landlord couple is also very pleasant, they are happy to provide tips. All questions can be answered in German, which is of course very helpful with limited knowledge of French
With a very good price-performance ratio - we had the special price for 2 people in September - a highly recommendable holiday home.

Wonderful to switch off
The quaint, lovingly furnished holiday cottage in its original location met our expectations exactly. The hosts were very accommodating and provided us with lots of helpful information and interesting facts about the region. We felt welcome in Anilac and would have liked to stay longer.

We discovered Anilac in 1981 after several trips around the world. It was a beautiful September morning : Mont Valier rose majestically from the sea of fog, illuminated by powerful rays of sunshine. The first sight of Anilac was fabulous : blackberry hedges crept over decayed stone walls. It was love at first sight. Little by little we have renovated the houses and barns to turn them into comfortable holiday homes. The large flower garden has also been developing for 30 years and we still like to work on it so that it gives pleasure in every season and invites the guest to relax. Even after so many years, it still happens that we have to take enthusiastic photos of Anilac with its mountains. We look forward to welcoming you to Anilac and bringing you a little closer to this paradise.
