In quiet, rural town Cassagnoles, between the golden vineyards of the Minervois and the dense forests of the Montagne Noire, you will find our renovated stone house "Grandil". It is tastefully and comfortably furnished and can accommodate 5-6 people. Thick stone walls and double windows keep the apartment cool in the summer. In winter a cozy woodstove for warmth. A sunny secluded garden with barbecue and a small pool are at the guests exclusive use. The apartment and the garden are facing south-west, with views over the valley, on the wooded slopes of the Montagne Noire.
On your doorstep you can enjoy the mild Mediterranean climate, the tranquility of nature, listening to the sounds of the forest, beautiful walks and cycling tours on secluded paths and small quiet streets. The idyllic surroundings with old, historic villages is perfect for excursions and sightseeing. The medieval city of Carcassonne with its famous fortress and the Mediterranean beaches at Narbonne are within less than an hour by car. And the road opens up in clear weather again breathtaking views of the fascinating mountain range of the Pyrenees.

Our house is located in an idyllic landscape, in the rural Minervois, which stretches from the southern slopes of the Central Mountains Black Mountain to the River Aude and the Canal du Midi in the plane of the Languedoc. Through the influence of the nearby Mediterranean enjoys the region a mild climate. The fertile soils of the plane and the southern slopes favor the wine, which was already operated by the Romans. Since 1985, the predominantly red wines of the Minervois have the status of "Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée".
This charming Mediterranean heathland in the hills is called "garrigue". Near Cassagnoles remarkable gorges ( "gorges") shape the limestone landscape. Prehistoric caves, Romanesque churches and lovely villages to visit in the region, such as the historical places Caunes-Minervois and Saint-Pons-de-Thomières, or the Canal du Midi and the wine cellars of the Minervois. The main tourist attraction of the area is the historic village of Minerve, Cathar stronghold, which gave its name to the area ,. Please look at our website: !!!
Where the Mediterranean garrigue landscape merges with its vineyards in vast oak or chestnut forests, located in 400m of the quiet place Cassagnoles. Our renovated village house "Grandil» is located in the historic center. Approximately 80 inhabitants live in Cassagnoles, off the main roads, in the nature park "Parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc", in the south-west of the department Herault. Many hiking trails lead through the municipality, the GR7, which crosses the nature reserve.
The village has a bee museum ( "Musée de l'abeille"), in which the life of bees and honey production are explained to visitors. Cassagnoles is very quiet and has neither shops nor restaurants. A small supermarket, a restaurant and in summer a typical farmers' market can be found 2 km away in Ferrals les Montagnes. The tourist village of Minerve with several restaurants is 15 km away, the nearest major cities Caunes, Rieux, Homps and Olonzac with shopping and dining options are reached in about 20 km.

Cancellation terms:
Free cancellation possible up to 90 days before the arrival date.
We request a deposit of 100€ upon binding registration, with the remaining rental fee and the security deposit due at the key handover. The security deposit will be refunded to you after the keys are returned. If you cancel the binding reservation, we reserve the right to keep the deposit.
