Enjoy an unforgettable holiday in Grainau, a small, beautiful holiday village directly under the Zugspitze. The spacious holiday apartment "Maiglöckerl" in a Bavarian country house offers plenty of space for the whole family.

The cozy holiday apartment "Maiglöckerl" is 85 m² in size and is ideal for 2-4 persons. Young and old feel at home here. The apartment offers two bedrooms, each with a double bed and wardrobe. There are two bathrooms with shower, WC and washbasin. The kitchen offers a lot of space and is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for your family.
A highlight of the holiday apartment "Maiglöckerl" is the beautiful living room, which was furnished with love to detail and with beautiful natural tones and a rock face look conveys real Bavarian coziness. The direct access to the West Terrace offers you the possibility to enjoy the fresh air with the direct view of the mountains.  

Great view over Germany´s highest mountain
The holiday apartment "Maiglöckerl" captivates with its unique view of Germany´s highest mountain - the Zugspitze. Grainau is the perfect holiday resort for mountain lovers both in summer and winter. All around there are beautiful hiking trails as well as the wonderful skiing area Kreuzeck/ Haubsberg and of course the skiing area Zugspitze. It is also only a few minutes walk to the bus stop and to some restaurants and shopping possibilities.

Own wellness area invites you to relax
A further highlight of this country house in Grainau is the in-house “Zirbentherme” with infrared light, which is in the basement and which you can use free of charge. Here you can relax after an exciting day in the mountains.

Schöne grosszügige Wohnung mit allem, was man für Urlaubstage braucht. Sogar ein Haartrockner war vorhanden, womit wir nicht gerechnet hatten, weil es nicht mit angegeben war. Wer eine ruhige Lage bevorzugt und direkte Einstiege zum Wandern liebt, ist hier genau richtig.

Eine geräumige, schöne Wohnung. Die Innenausstattung ist sehr ansprechend und auch die Terrasse mit Minigarten lädt zum gemütlichen Verweilen ein. Leider ist der Minigarten nicht gut eingezäunt. Ein mitgebrachter Hund muss deshalb unbedingt auf der Terrasse an die Leine. Sehr erfreulich ist die tolle Ausstattung der Küche, da fehlt es wirklich an nichts. Für Hundebesitzer ist es sehr praktisch, dass der ganze Boden gefliest ist, außerdem gibt es hervorragende Gassimöglichkeiten. Der Wald ist praktisch vor der Türe. Weiterhin kann man von der Terrasse aus wirklich die Zugspitze sehen, zwar nicht in frontaler Richtung, aber einfach den Blick nach links richten !

We had a wonderful vacation over the New Year in a fantastic holiday apartment. The apartment is very lovingly and richly furnished. We can only partially understand some of the critical comments in the reviews. One bedroom with a separate bathroom with a shower is located in the basement. Ventilation worked sufficiently well for us. The staircase to this area, which is suitably sized for our needs, has been greatly appreciated by our children. In the ground floor, there is the living/dining room with a separate kitchenette in a niche, as well as another bathroom with a bathtub, the second bedroom, and a hallway with a wardrobe. We always found the apartment bright enough. Furthermore, the apartment can be very well illuminated with many lights and lamps everywhere. The parking space is located directly in front of the kitchen window of the apartment (short trip for shopping :-)). Very pleasant and also nicely designed, we found the "wellness area" with an infrared cabin and lounge, which can be used by all apartments in the house. As for the price/performance ratio mentioned here several times, I believe everyone can decide for themselves what they are willing to spend. We were pleasantly surprised by the furnishings of the apartment. It is an absolute feel-good apartment that is perfectly located for our vacation. The communication with the holiday apartment agency was always pleasant. We can only recommend the apartment and would be happy to return.

Unfortunately, behind the bedroom window in the basement, there is only a light well with a concrete wall and a light well grate. This was unfortunately not mentioned anywhere in the apartment description. We would not have booked the apartment if we had known because it was always very dark and poorly ventilated. The spiral staircase to the basement room has a small diameter and is difficult to navigate for larger and older people. Additionally, the apartment is very dark because there is only the terrace window as a light source. The garbage bin in the kitchen was without a lid but was replaced in the second week of vacation. The price-performance ratio is not right here!

The description of the vacation apartment did not mention that one bedroom is located in the basement, and that there is only a light well with a grate behind the window. Had we known this beforehand, we would not have booked the apartment. The spiral staircase leading down has a very small diameter, making it very difficult for older and heavier people to use. The apartment is very dark; in rainy weather, the lights must be turned on. With such inconveniences, there was no joy in the holiday. It was not a dream vacation apartment. In my opinion, under such conditions, the price-performance ratio is not right.
