Description

A bedroom with a double bed (180x200m) and a comfortable corner sofa bed (160x200m) in the living room offer sleeping space for up to 4 people. The living room is equipped with cable TV/HiFi//DVD, an electric fireplace, from which you can access the balcony with garden furniture. The fitted kitchen is open to the living room and is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, ceramic hob, toaster and coffee machine is equipped with shower and toilet.

A travel cot and high chair are provided by the owner.

There are parking spaces at the house.

Coin-operated washing machine and dryer are available in the house for a fee.

Approx. 400 m to the natural beach.

Pets are welcome! Non-smoking apartment!!!

We are older ladies and had to drag suitcases up the stairs because there is no elevator. A bath mat in the shower would also be sensible. Otherwise, everything was okay. Best regards, Gerlinde Fick

We have been coming to the island of Poel at irregular intervals for at least 10 years and always book through PAS Poel, almost exclusively higher-priced accommodations, so we are "spoiled". ;-) Since we decided to go on a short notice this time, the selection was limited, especially because we are traveling with a dog... So we chose "Achtern Diek" in Gollwitz. We had never been to this part of the island before.
Positive: The location itself is really very nice. Right by a frog pond, rural and idyllic. There is also a restaurant on site "Fünf Eulen", which looked nice, but we didn't use it. The beach is a short walk away with beautiful old willow trees. The beach itself is also okay, but if you really want to swim, you have to go far out, as it is very shallow for a long stretch (we didn't mind, a foot bath in the cold May Baltic Sea was totally sufficient). The apartment was extremely clean! Great praise to those responsible for the cleaning. The bedroom had a nice wide bed with super comfortable mattresses. The kitchen had everything you needed. A few games were in the closet, which we all played through.
Negative: The apartment was advertised for 4 people. We were three and found it very cramped. Everything practically happened in one room that you entered through the apartment door, as there was no anteroom. The kitchenette was okay, but a fridge had to be squeezed into another corner in such a way that the door could not be fully opened (but it still worked). Since a wardrobe did not fit into the bedroom, it stood in the living/kitchen/dining room. Everyone basically changed in the kitchen/living room, which was just about bearable with 3 people, but not comfortable. The suitcases also had to find a place in the room. The bathroom was very tight. For the towels, we set up a laundry rack in the living room because otherwise they would have only fit on the door and wouldn't have dried close together. The sofa bed in the living room was not particularly comfortable. We already knew that we had bad internet reception on Poel. However, we were surprised that they still hadn't managed to equip the apartments with WLAN. So it was extremely difficult to google excursion destinations, departure times, and opening hours - not great. There was a huge mosquito plague on the island, of course, the landlord can't do anything about that. BUT the fact that there were no fly screens attached to the windows really robbed us of our sleep quality and relaxation. You had to choose between sleeping with the window closed or being attacked by mosquitoes. Both options were bad. If you wanted to make coffee in the morning, the coffee maker would shut off in the middle of the brewing process. So you had to watch over it constantly, otherwise you wouldn't get your coffee.

Wir kommen seit mindestens 10 Jahren in unregelmäßigen Abständen auf die Insel Poel und buchen immer über PAS Poel, fast ausschließlich höherpreisige Unterkünfte, wir sind also "verwöhnt". ;-) Da wir diesmal kurzentschlossen gefahren sind, war die Auswahl eingeschränkt, besonders dadurch, dass wir mit Hund reisen... Wir haben uns also für "Achtern Diek" in Gollwitz entschieden. In diesem Ortsteil waren wir bisher noch gar nicht. Positiv: Die Lage selbst ist wirklich sehr schön. Direkt an einem Froschteich, ländlich idyllisch. Ein Restaurant ist auch vor Ort "Fünf Eulen", das sah ganz nett aus, aber wir haben es nicht genutzt. Zum Strand ist es ein kurzer Fußweg mit wunderschönen alten Weidenbäumen. Der Strand selbst ist auch ok, aber wer wirklich schwimmen will muss weit hinaus, da es sehr lange sehr flach ist (uns hat das nicht gestört, ein Fußbad in der Mai-kalten Ostsee war völlig ausreichend). Die Wohnung war ausgesprochen sauber! Großes Lob an die Verantwortlichen für die Reinigung. Das Schlafzimmer hatte ein schönes breites Bett mit super bequemen Matratzen. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was man brauchte. Ein paar Spiele waren im Schrank, die wir alle durchgespielt haben. Negativ: Die Wohnung war für 4 Personen ausgeschrieben. Wir waren zu dritt und fanden es mega beengt. Es hat sich quasi alles in einem Raum abgespielt, den man durch die Wohnungseingangstür betrat, denn einen Vorflur gab es nicht. Die Küchenzeile war ok, aber ein Kühlschrank musste schon in eine andere Ecke gequetscht werden und zwar so, dass die Tür nicht in Gänze zu öffnen war (ging aber noch). Da in das Schlafzimmer kein Kleiderschrank passte, stand der auch noch im Wohn-/Küchen-/Esszimmer. Alle zogen sich sozusagen im Küchen-/Wohnzimmer um, das war bei 3 Leuten gerade noch so vertretbar, aber nicht komfortabel. Auch die Koffer mussten in dem Raum noch Platz finden. Das Badezimmer war super eng. Für die Handtücher haben wir uns ins Wohnzimmer noch den Wäscheständer aufgebaut, weil die sonst nur an der Tür Platz gehabt hätten und so dicht beieinander nicht trockneten. Die Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer war nicht besonders bequem. Dass wir auf Poel einen schlechten Internetempfang hatten, wussten wir schon. Aber dass es noch immer nicht gelungen ist, die Wohnungen mit WLAN auszustatten, hat uns schon überrascht. Somit war es äußerst schwierig Ausflugsziele, Abfahrtszeiten, Öffnungszeiten zu googeln - nicht so toll. Es herrschte eine übergroße Mückenplage auf der Insel, dafür kann natürlich der Vermieter nichts. ABER, dass an den Fenstern nicht einmal Fliegengitter befestigt waren, hat uns viel von unserer Schlafqualität und somit auch der Erholung geraubt. Man musste sich entscheiden, bei geschlossenem Fenster zu schlafen, oder von Mücken überfallen zu werden. Beides schlecht. Wenn man morgens dann unausgeschlafen einen Kaffee zubereiten wollte, stieg die Kaffeemaschine in der Hälfte der Brühzeit einfach aus und schaltete sich ab. Man musste also immer aufpassen
