Description
Our house is located directly on the water of the Timmeler Meer. You can reach the open water after about 50 m via the canal. The Timmeler Meer is connected to an extensive network of waterways via the Fehntjer Tief. Directly adjacent to the garden is the boat, bathing and fishing jetty. From there, you can take trips on the Timmeler Meer and the adjacent canals with the house's own rowing boat. The fishing area is right on your doorstep. In addition, numerous cycling, hiking and riding trails lead through Timmel. Your route on the water could take you as far as Oldersum through the lock (the last lock until New Yorck) into the Ems. However, this is too far for a rowing trip. This is not the only reason why we also offer outboard motors, which can be rented additionally, for slightly further trips around Timmel.
The 85m² living space of the house is divided into kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, shower room with toilet, guest toilet and storage room. It is very important to us that you feel comfortable as our guest. That's why we only rent to a maximum of 5 people. However, this only applies if a child of no more than 2 years of age is present. For a child of this age, there is still a sofa bed in the "large master bedroom" or a folding bed in the children's room. There is also toddler equipment with a high chair and travel cot. Otherwise, there are two normal beds in the children's room.
The rental price also includes 4 good bicycles with hub and derailleur gears for cycling tours in the wider surroundings and a large handcart for trips to the sandy beach of the Timmeler Meer, among other places. There is a permanent barbecue fireplace on the terrace of the house. Garden furniture etc. is available in sufficient quantity. The bench at the end of the garden with a view of the Timmeler Meer is ideal not only for watching the sunset in the evenings.
If the weather doesn't feel like it, there is a TV with satellite and DVD player (some DVDs are also available).
The kitchen is fully equipped (from microwave, dishwasher to kettle and toaster). There is even a washing machine in the guest toilet and a freezer in the storage room.
Please bring your own bed linen, towels and tea towels. Summer and winter beds are available.

Our house is located directly on the water. You walk 10 m through the large sliding door in the living room and are on the house's own jetty, where the rowing boat (Pioner 10) is also located. The address of the house is Övert Meer 52. The property is one of the largest on the Inselhof and invites you to relax.

We are private owners of the house in East Frisia since 2005. It is regularly renovated and kept in order. In the last 2 years, fundamental renovations have been carried out and parts of the furnishings have been replaced. We love East Frisia with its wide landscape and friendly people. For years we spent our holidays in Timmel with our children until we bought the house and would be happy to welcome you as our guests.
