Originally built by the first settlers in the mid-1800’s, Sailor’s Rest has recently been fully renovated and now offers air-condition, comfortable rooms equipped with bright furniture and handcrafted driftwood beach art. Here you can enjoy two cozy rooms with twin beds on the first floor or watch the sunset from an extendable queen size bed with memory foam mattress in the living room on the ground floor.

Location and surroundings of object
Our lovely old fisherman’s house sits on the rocks at the end of the quaint fishing village of Samson’s Cove next to Little Anse and is surrounded by the ocean. Here you can enjoy a stunning and endless view in any direction. The town of ARICHAT with shopping facilities (very fresh fish and lobster, supermarket, health food, pharmacy, walk in clinic etc.), as well as restaurants is to reach in 5 minutes by car. Sampson Cove, Petit de Grat and Isle Madame are happy communities, some with a lovely French flair.

| Bed linen and internet included in the price. In the low season from 1 November, electricity is not included in the price and is charged according to actual consumption ( CAD/khw). The deposit of 400 euros is the security deposit, which is refunded immediately on departure. |
Cancellation terms:
- You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.

We have been connected to our adopted Canadian home for 15 years. Since our 3 children have been able to swim, we have spent almost every summer on this wonderful island and have fallen so in love with Cape Breton that we emigrated here in 2012, or rather sailed across the Atlantic on our catamaran. After a few years of living on the ship, we took a break from it and lovingly and lavishly restored our private Sailor`s Rest house for a season. We are happy to share our enthusiasm and joy with our guests, sailing together or initiating you into the basics, also on our trimarans. Life in the countryside is quiet and thoughtful, there is plenty of time. You are welcomed here in a friendly and open-minded way. This "decelerated" life is good for you, helps you to reflect and relax.
