The house is practically and nicely furnished with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. There is also a small wellness area with a sauna and whirlpool for relaxation. Older children can have some distance from their parents through a bedroom door located outside next to the main house. For smaller children, there are swings, a sandbox, and soccer goals available. Both a fire pit and a gas grill are also present. Recommendations: Kolding, Billund, and Fredericia are relatively quick to reach. To get to the beach, you need to drive a few minutes; direct access is hardly possible (very difficult stairs). For the beach visit, beach shoes are recommended, as there are many stones there.

The house is spacious and clean. 2 bathrooms are a big advantage with several people. The terrace is large and the garden is extensive. Recommendations: Legoland is not far away and a day trip to Funen (Egeskov Castle) is always worth it. Definitely eat a burger at "Backyard Burger" in Fredericia!

We had a fantastic stay in Mørkholt! The hot tub and sauna were perfect after a long day of exploring the area. The views of the Vejle Fjord from the terrace were simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. Highly recommended!

It was very quiet. It was only a few minutes' walk to the water. Recommendations: There is really nothing in the immediate vicinity. By car, you can reach Fredericia in 15 minutes and Legoland, Billund in 40 minutes.

The wooden terrace with sunbeds and the spacious play area for the children were lovely. Unfortunately, the swing that was there was rickety and therefore unusable. The use of the two bathrooms was also disappointing. For hot water, the cottage uses a boiler. If you fill the bathtub once, you have already used up all the hot water and others cannot shower anymore. There is also a second bathroom; it has just been renovated and looks nice. But halfway through the week, it is presumed that during an outing of ours, a septic tank was emptied. (The large cover of a pit and other items were moved upon return) this has caused a huge sewage smell in the new bathroom, making it unusable for the rest of our stay.
