Description

Cosy holiday home with lakefront property on the west side of Bolmen, with swimming and fishing opportunities in very scenic surroundings. Large plot with own jetty.

The cottage is 200 m from the public bathing area, forest and playground.
Pets are not allowed.

The holiday home is 55 m2 and can accommodate 4 people. For the slightly larger group it is possible to add 2 beds in the nearby house (15m2), see pictures.

The landlord of a nearby property does not stay there when the holiday home is rented out. The tenant is alone on the large lake property (approx. 2000 m2).

The house is 55 m2
Ground floor kitchen-living room with kitchen table, corner sofa and TV. There is also a fridge, freezer, oven, cooker, fan and microwave.
On the ground floor there is also a toilet with sink, shower and washing machine.
Upstairs there are 2 separate bedrooms and a hallway totalling 25 sqm.
The bedrooms each have a 105 cm wide bed and a 90 cm wide bed.
Duvets and pillows are provided, bed linen/sheets can be rented.Own jetty, 1 boat included.

Garden furniture is on the terrace with awning. Charcoal grill available.
Astra satellite dish with German channels and Swedish channels 1,2,4,98 and channel 99. Via antenna
WLAN included (fibre optic broadband)

Electric motor for the boat with two 75 Ah batteries.
Canoe Linder 525 can also be rented.

An excellent fish resta.aurant "Tiraholm fisk" is located approx. 1.2 km from the cottage.
Two recommendations for families with children: In Kråkshult, about 1.7 km from the cottage, there is an alpaca farm. Also recommended is the Fairytale Mouse in Ljungby, approx. 40 km from the cottage.

Two moose parks are within a pleasant distance. Elinge moose park is approx. 4.1 km away and Laganland 5.1 km.

beautiful house - absolutely recommended

It is a very beautiful house, the hosts Leif and Eva are very nice, explain everything.
In the house, there was everything you need, it is clean and well-maintained.
The only negative thing to note is that you had to let the water run for a long time until warm water came.
We can only say that we really enjoyed the week and would love to come back.

Cozy little house in a super location!

The cottage is equipped with all conveniences by the owners. We stayed for a week and had a great time. The cottage overlooks the lake and you have your own dock. You can choose from 2 boats (1 is included) and we had the canoe. It's very nice to go out on the lake. Do keep in mind that it is a large lake and a motor on the boat is recommended. The cottage is very clean and nothing is lacking.

The surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of opportunities for a walk. There is also a very good fish restaurant 15 km away. A supermarket is about a 20-minute drive.

Dreamlike

We had a wonderful week with our kids. The garden, the house, and the lake are really ideal for families with children.
There is a lot to discover and the hosts are so warm-hearted! We will definitely come back.

Family vacation

First of all, a big thank you to Eva and Leif for their hospitality and care in their beautiful holiday home. We stayed in the accommodation for a week and can only highly recommend it. The accommodation is clean and well-equipped, so nothing is missing that one needs for daily life. The access to the water with its own dock leaves nothing to be desired. Thank you and hopefully see you soon....

Prime location

We felt very comfortable at Eva and Leif's. The house is in very good condition, and the boat is only a few meters from the house at its own dock. We really enjoyed our vacation and will definitely come back.

Relaxation by the lake

We spent two very nice weeks here. The property and the location by the lake are fantastic. The house is right on the lake with its own pier and offers an idyllic view of the lake and the forests on the opposite island / peninsula.

The holiday home is very cozy and well-equipped. In good weather, the terrace - overlooking the lake - can be used extensively. We were very well instructed by the owners, especially on how to operate the boats (gas engine/electric motor) and waste separation. A boat is included with the house. Another boat and a canoe can be rented. We also received tips about events nearby and fishing advice. Thank you again for everything.

We spent a lot of time on the lake with the boats, the canoe, and the SUP (which we had with us). With our bikes, we have taken a few cycling trips.

Our son (7 years old) was able to have his first fishing experiences and also caught his first fish.

A holiday here is perfect for nature lovers. There are hiking and biking trails, opportunities for fishing, and places to relax by the lake.

We can recommend the holiday home to anyone looking for peace and relaxation in a very beautiful setting.

Bolmen pure

The small cozy holiday home is located directly on the shore of Lake Bolmen (10 meters), in the village of Odensjö on the west side of Sweden's 10th largest lake. The landlords Eva and Leif were super nice, showed us everything and answered questions. They speak better English than German, but we had no communication problems.
The house is small, but completely sufficient for two max. four people. A large terrace offers a beautiful view of the lake, the small marina and the private jetty with two boats. The public bathing area can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Shopping is available in Lidhult, 16 km away, or in Unnaryd (also 16 km away), or 36 km away in Ljungby.
If you like being in nature (bring your bike), or fishing, this is the place to be. We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet. During the week, there was no one in the marina, and in the evenings by the lake, it was so quiet that you could hear the fish jumping even at a greater distance. However, we were there at the end of August/beginning of September, it may be different in midsummer.
Something else positive that I would like to point out is the waste separation. We have never experienced this in Sweden before, that the landlords place special importance on it. There were separate boxes for collecting all recyclables (of course, you have to take them away yourself), and the landlords provided all cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc.
If there is something negative to report, it would be the somewhat inadequate kitchen equipment. For example, there was only one coffee mug, otherwise only mini coffee cups. I then bought a great coffee mug for 3.50 euros in Ljungby at ICA.
All in all, a nice vacation. My partner has already asked me if we want to go there again next year?!

One week to enjoy.

Great location! Bolmen has given us over 20 fish - pike, zander, and perch for 3 anglers. The owners and landlords of the house, Eva and Leif, warmly welcomed us. The vacation home and the guest house were handed over very cleanly. The boats and gasoline engines were explained. Everything was perfect for a relaxing vacation! A defective boat motor was replaced within 2 hours and did not bother our vacation at all. Thanks to Leif for the prompt service. The only thing we missed was a dishwasher, otherwise, this vacation home is TOP! We will definitely come back!

Das kleine gemütliche Ferienhaus liegt direkt am Ufer des Bolmen (10 Meter), im Ort Odensjö auf der Westseite des 10. größten Sees Schwedens. Die Vermieter Eva und Leif waren supernett, haben uns alles gezeigt und Fragen beantwortet. Sie sprechen besser Englisch als Deutsch, aber Verständigungsschwierigkeiten hatten wir nicht. Das Haus ist klein, aber für zwei max. vier Personen vollkommen ausreichend. Eine große Terrasse bietet einen schönen Blick auf den See, den kleinen Sportboothafen und den eigenen Steg mit zwei Booten. Der öffentliche Badeplatz ist fußläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im 16 km entfernten Lidhult oder in Unnaryd (ebenfalls 16 km entfernt), oder in 36 km Entfernung in Ljungby. Wer sich gerne in der Natur aufhält (Fahrrad unbedingt mitbringen), oder angelt, ist hier genau richtig. Wir haben vor allem die Ruhe sehr genossen. Unter der Woche war im Sportboothafen kein Mensch, und abends am See war es so leise, dass man noch in größerer Entfernung die Fische springen hörte. Allerdings waren wir auch Ende August/Anfang September dort, im Hochsommer mag es anders sein. Was ich auch noch positiv hervorheben möchte, ist die Mülltrennung. Haben wir so in Schweden noch nie erlebt, dass die Vermieter darauf besonderen Wert legen. Es gab für alle Wertstoffe getrennte Boxen zum Sammeln (muss man natürlich selber wegbringen), und es wurden von den Vermietern alle Putzmittel, Toilettenpapier etc. zur Verfügung gestellt. Wenn es etwas Negatives zu berichten gibt, dann die etwas mangelhafte Küchenausstattung. Es gab z.B. nur einen Kaffeebecher, ansonsten nur Mini-Kaffeetassen. Habe mir dann in Ljungby im ICA für 3,50 Euro einen tollen Kaffeebecher selber gekauft. Alles in allem ein schöner Urlaub. Mein Lebensgefährte hat mich schon gefragt, ob wir da nächstes Jahr wieder hin wollen?!
