The flat is on the ground floor with its own entrance and its own, dog-proof fenced garden area, covered terrace with a view of the greenery and the dyke.

Everything in the house is lovingly and tastefully furnished.
The largest room in the holiday flat is the combined living and dining room with kitchenette. There is a cosy seating area, a dining table, a modern kitchenette and a secretary for writing.
The kitchen is fully equipped, 4 plate cooker, oven, refrigerator, freezer, coffee machine, toaster, blender, kettle, open to the living room. The living room has underfloor heating.
The large bedroom is equipped with a comfortable double bed and a sofa bed that can be pulled out for another person and a wardrobe. The window offers a wonderful view of the greenery.
The well-maintained shower room with WC ensures that you feel completely at ease.
Here you can literally rest, sleep and recover from the stress of everyday life without being disturbed.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is 500 m from the outer dike in the Galmsbüllkoog. A koog is dyked land that has been reclaimed from the sea and was once the bottom of the sea. "Achterndiek" is situated at a point from which you can reach many tourist destinations and places of interest without having to travel far:
You can hike, jog, inline skate, walk, cycle directly from the house, and in 500 m you are at the front North Sea dyke, where endless wide dyke paths are at your disposal.
There you can also visit Dagebüll (approx. 4 km) or Südwesthörn (approx. 6 km) and walk your dog over the dike into the mudflats or swim in the North Sea.
If you prefer to swim in fresh water, you will find some beautiful natural bathing lakes here, such as the Hültfeld bathing area at the top of the photo or the An der Wehle natural open-air bath in Niebüll.
Other bathing destinations and dog beaches can be found at the Emelev Klev (cliff) in Denmark(about 20 km).
The North Frisian Islands (Föhr, Sylt and Amrum), in Denmark also Römö and Fanö invite you to visit them. You can go to Sylt by train, to Römö by car and to Föhr, Amrum and Fanö by boat.
Pretty towns like Leck and Niebüll are nearby. Flensburg and Husum are also not far away, and a trip to the Baltic Sea takes just 1 hour by car.
There are many museums nearby: the Nolde Museum (see photo) and the Dike Museum in Neukirchen, an art museum in Alkersum on Föhr, the Friesen Museum in Niebüll and much more
You can take wonderful trips to the Halligen, the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park, the Nolde Museum, the wind farms and the Köge, which are typical of the landscape.
Enjoy the iodine-rich air and the play of the tides on your mudflat walks, when bathing in the North Sea or when cycling, jogging, walking or strolling.

Cancellation due to alleged overbooking
I just need to vent my anger. We wanted to spend eight days from September 5th to 13th, 2020 in this vacation rental with our dog. It was booked and confirmed a week ago, but two days before arrival, we received a cancellation - great. Since we were already on Sylt, it would have been a stone's throw away. The alternative they offered us was out of the question. Finding something new quickly was impossible, as September was fully booked everywhere. So we had to reluctantly go back home, and we live in the Rhineland. My conclusion regarding this private accommodation management is to steer clear of this place or to thoroughly inform yourself.

We have been renting out this holiday flat since 2010. 1 year before, we moved here from near Hamburg. It is our retirement home, so to speak. I grew up in the immediate vicinity and spent my childhood and school years here. Now we enjoy the peace and quiet, the nature, the sea and the beautiful surroundings. My husband is French and also feels very comfortable.
