House: Red wooden house, approx. 100 sqm living space, approx. 1000 sqm plot. The house has electric heating. There is a wooden terrace to the south-west. Very good and reliable WLAN.
The living room faces south and west, has an open fireplace. Satellite TV with all German channels. In a bay window is the dining area with a view of the lake. 2 dining tables (each 90 X 150, with 45 cm long additional top) and many chairs.
The kitchen is equipped with cooker, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster.
Bedroom 1:
Double bed with 2 mattresses, 1.60 m wide, 2 m long, wardrobe and 1 chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2:
Double bed with 2 mattresses, 2 m wide, 2 m long, 2 wardrobes and 1 chest of drawers.
Bedroom 3:
Single bed 90 cm wide, 2 m long, (possibility to let a second person sleep in the drawer, 80 cm wide, mattress with slatted frame) wardrobe and chest of drawers.
In the bathroom there is a WC, washbasin, shower with shower wall, washing machine, hairdryer. The hot water is heated by an electric boiler. Bathroom will be totally renovated in November 2022
There is a baby cot; a bathroom stool and a high chair.

Location and surroundings of object
The house is located in a nature reserve right by Lake Vänern, at the foot of Kinnekulleberg. It has a view of the lake. Very quiet location, in a cul-de-sac with 4 other houses. The street is the second to last in a settlement with very light buildings. Behind the settlement begins the forest with a beautiful hiking trail. You will find various bathing spots a few 100 metres away, it is about 1 km to the Blomberg sports harbour
Lake Vänern in Sweden, with its archipelago and the Kinnekulle table mountain, has been designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve. With its 120 islands, Lake Vänern, Sweden's largest lake, represents Europe's largest island landscape in an inland lake. The 306-metre-high Kinnekulle mountain also offers very varied vegetation. The area has several nature reserves, limestone quarries and historical cultural monuments, such as rock carvings or the churches of Forshem and Husaby. Lake Vänern offers very good fishing opportunities, there are pike, perch, etc.

Dreamy holiday home, beautiful location
We spent our family vacation this year in Askvägen and enjoyed the time very much.
The house is quiet, the lake is practically right outside the door, and you can start various hikes directly from the house.
The swimming cove is just a few minutes' walk away. We often set off from the dock, which is even closer, with the SUP board and were in and on the water daily.
The house is sun-drenched, cozy, well-equipped, and extraordinarily clean. I have been traveling in Scandinavian holiday homes my whole life, but I have never stayed in such a well-organized, practical, and lovingly furnished holiday home. Everything one could possibly need was really there. We enjoyed eating with a view of the lake, had a Fika on the terrace (with the delicious cinnamon and cardamom rolls from the nearby monastery bakery), and simply relaxed. The contact with the landlady was uncomplicated, friendly, and very accommodating.
We really had a wonderfully beautiful vacation, thank you for allowing us to stay in this gem!

Das Haus liegt ruhig, der See ist quasi direkt vor der Tür und man kann vom Haus aus direkt auf verschiedene Wanderungen starten.
Die Badebucht ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir sind oft vom Bootssteg, der noch dichter ist mit dem SUP-Board losgefahren und waren täglich am und im Wasser.
Das Haus ist sonnendurchflutet, gemütlich, gut ausgestattet und außerordentlich sauber.
Ich bin schon mein Leben lang in skandinavischen Ferienhäusern unterwegs aber ich habe noch nie ein so gut organisiertes, praktisch und liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus bewohnt. Es war wirklich Alles da, was man nur brauchen könnte.
Wir haben sehr gern mit Blick auf den See gegessen, eine Fika auf der Terrasse genossen (mit den leckeren Zimt- und Kardamomschnecken aus der nahen Klosterbäckerei) und einfach die Seele baumeln lassen.
Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war unkompliziert, freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend.
Wir hatten wirklich traumhaft schöne Ferien, vielen Dank, dass wir dieses Kleinod bewohnen durften!
