Description
Oleandra is one of those still old, traditional farmhouses with thick stone walls made of the original Maltese sandstone. Today, the house with its annex offers all the amenities one can expect on holiday. The house is located in a quiet side street.
On the ground floor, with its beautiful round arches and original stone walls, you will find the fully equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as the inviting living room with its upholstered furniture and TV. From here you have access through a large glazed double door to the wonderful pool area with its sun loungers, as well as the additional dining table. Size of the pool is about 6x3,5m. Surely, life will largely take place here during the summer months. Don't forget to try one of the excellent Maltese red wines!
The 4 bedrooms, 3 of which have en-suite bathrooms, are located as follows: On the first floor, which can only be reached via an external staircase, there is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, both with en-suite bathrooms.
In a separate, two-storey annexe there are 2 further double bedrooms, the top one has a large bathroom and an inviting balcony overlooking the pool, and to the unique basilica Ta Pinu; this bedroom is also only accessible via an external staircase. There is a further double bedroom on the ground floor of this annexe, accessed from the family bathroom on the other side of the courtyard (no en-suite bathroom).
Parking: There is only space for one smaller car, as the house is in a narrow alley, loading and unloading can only be done briefly in front of the house. Cars must be parked outside the alley about 80-100m walking distance.

The small hamlet of Ghammar is part of Ghasri, which is also not much bigger.
The Ghasri Valley, is a wonderful little place for country walks or a bike ride, especially in winter and spring. The valley begins at Ta' Dbiegi Hill and winds through the village of l-Għasri, and between iż-Żebbuġ and Ta' Gurdan Hill, finally reaching the sea between impressive cliffs. The church there is also worth seeing.
Nearest supermarket about 800m, nearest restaurant (Ta Salvina) 1km, swimming in Dwejra Bay, about 4km away or on the largest and most beautiful sandy beach on Gozo - Ramla Bay - just under 10km. Bus stop 100m. Distance to the main town of Victoria approx. 3.5km.
