At first sight it is a super cool house, nice garden, very nice location, close to the center and close to the Ourthe where you can kayak.
Unfortunately it is not clean at all. The seats are dirty, you can no longer see what the original color of the carpet was, the mattress is worn, the paint is peeling off especially in the bathroom, there is no garden table or garden chair only a small lounge that is held together with tape. Furthermore it was really not cleaned properly. We found rotten apples from previous guests, spider and dust webs everywhere, mold in the washing machine and under the beds it has not been cleaned for ages. The shower had not been cleaned and we can continue to list. We called Ardenne online to report this, they sent someone to clean extra, but they did not do more than the floors. A crying shame, this could really be a great house if the state was not so dirty and not maintained.

Symon Lodge is a very cozy house with special, compact interior architecture and nice decoration. The kitchen and double bathroom are practically furnished with all necessary appliances and kitchen equipment. Ventilating on hot days works well thanks to the many windows on all sides. Minus point: in the bedrooms there is only moderate darkening of the windows, which can hinder if the sun sets late and gets up early. In short: a pleasant place to stay, close to all restaurants of La Roche

On arrival we found a house that apparently had not been cleaned in ages. All but all the junk from previous residents was left behind. Although there is a payment for a final cleaning, it seems that this is collected but that there is no cleaning nor is there control over how the house is left. I took pictures of all the filth. Symon Lodge offers a practical layout for families, The ground floor has everything you need, and the fridge and microwave were handy for quick meals, Overall, a solid choice,

A very impersonal welcome, pick up the key at that hotel and continue your plan. The heating did not work and was only repaired after repeated telephone calls, etc. after 4 (four!!!) days. When someone took a shower upstairs, the water in the kitchen would drip down through the ceiling. The house was not clean at all, even dirty in some places. When you collect the key you will receive a list of fines if you do not empty the bins and the dishwasher, etc., while the bins were not empty at all when we arrived. (There was more, but then this letter of complaint will be too long) We have passed on all these defects from the first moment and have not asked for compensation for these problems, we only asked for our full deposit back without the extra costs of water, gas and oil. This too was only partially honoured. We were never informed whether the problems had been solved. Simon lodge is a beautiful house, well located, but we do not recommend it to anyone.

The location is perfect. The house is well equipped with facilities, but some things are too outdated: roller blinds that don’t work, a shower that sprays in all directions.... That could use a bit more attention to prevent the quality from declining further.

The location is super, on short walking distance of La Roche. It is a very nice house, but there is a strong smell of humidity in the living / kitchen area which really iritated us a lot and made our staying unpleasant. The curtains are in bad shape, many of them are stucked and can't be opened or closed.

We had a lovely stay at Symon Lodge! The location is simply perfect, just a short walk from the center, where we found cute shops and cafés. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, with a nice garden to relax in. I loved the large living room; even though the fireplace is just for show, it adds a nice touch. The kids enjoyed the garden while we relaxed. Also, it was a big advantage for us to be pet-friendly. I would definitely come back!

What a lovely stay! The architecture of Symon Lodge really stands out, with cozy living spaces and beautiful access to the garden. We enjoyed evenings by the fireplace (even if it was just for show), and the kids had plenty of fun in the area. Additionally, the ability to bring our dog along was a huge plus! We will definitely return for another family adventure.
