Domaine d ' Essendiéras is a beautifully landscaped domain (400 HA) with two impressive castles and a challenging 9-holes golf course in the middle of the green heart of the Dordogne.
You-tube: FlyOverHotel - Domaine d'Essendiéras
the domain is spacious and rural you still can have a lot of privacy.
The two castles which dominate the estate form together with the outbuildings a closed courtyard: a fantastic medieval decor where in the summer months, live music is played and where you can eat and drink at long tables.
After the restoration the original function of the buildings is kept. So you'll find the original stables, blacksmith shop, carpenter shop, the tobacco attic and so on.
Wherever you look; beautiful views and brilliant colours at any time of the year give you a lasting memory of Domaine d ' Essendiéras.
A fine environment to spend your holiday, a wedding party or to organize a seminar.
Beautifully landscaped domain with two impressive castles and a challenging 9-holes golf course in the middle of the green heart of the Dordogne.
The domain gets delicious water from his own sources. In the summer season freshly baked bread daily available at the castle, live music on the courtyard of the enchanting castles and a cosy table d' hôte every week, and for young and old, at all levels, professional golf clinics.

This residence is located in a beautiful location. Everything is very spacious and looks very well maintained. We stayed late October early November and had the luck that we could enjoy the nice weather. We have also made full use of the spacious garden. Everything is there to stay off nicely. Only we missed the cushions for the many existing chairs. The house itself is neat and spacious and nicely decorated. We have nothing missed during our week stay. Everything is there for a washing machine and dishwasher to it. The enormous fireplace was a very nice during the colder nights in November. I myself am wheelchair bound and then I serve it to name a few critical points. The house is fully tiled (including the outside). With a wheelchair you also have all the time feel like you're bumping. The bathroom has a grand total of two brackets. However, the bracket at the shower is placed far too low and the bracket to the toilet is mounted on a thin wall so that you can not put too much support. The property is surrounded by gravel so that's not really recommended for wheelchair users. In some places it is a bit heavier and a deft wheelchair may be driving rear wheels (as I did) to get to the front door or to go to the garden through the back. The front door is wide enough, but the makeshift ramp that is installed is not all wheelchair users easy. The back door to the terrace is wide enough for wheelchairs but to get on the back terrace from the gravel path you must be a threshold as "n 8 cm can komen.Maar all in all a great place that I definitely again to want to go back!

The very bad weather rain and cold was well compensated by the well equipped cottage. Gezelige heat and withstand the extreme nature of the adjustments for the disabled to get used to, but is not a real nuisance. Terrace, garden furniture and nearby swimming pool (28 ° C) are equipped and maintained. Loanerbikes of the best quality but only one type VVT (terrain bike).

Cottage is typical with large garden where you 'morning walk to see the deer and hares past you schieten.Huis is fully equipped, even a DVD \/ CD player, Dutch channels on the TV and good working (private) wifi .A large fireplace and well-functioning electric kachteltjes for the cooler October avonden.En - hoera- a normal two persoonbed of 160 m breed.Het park is beautifully landscaped with two castles and beautiful golfbaan.Wij were there in October and the was shut down we were the only guests at the entire park! Le Sechoir is a detached cottage, rest assured. If you "sit on the terrace in the evening you can hear only the birds, the wind and the crickets. Delicious! The interior lived up to expectations, though I just had the bad luck that the dishwasher was broken, but that will have been restored. There were a few minor flaws but which are solved by the very friendly managers, and their employees, with lots of fun and quotop & z "n French". This house combines the tranquility of a house with the comforts of a holiday park, such as the bread service and the facilities (swimming pools, golf, tennis, ...) of the domain. Conclusion Highly recommended!

Very fine environment. Wonderful to walk around on the domain. For children to experience enough. There are large water features so if they can not swim yet you have to stay there. A lot of privacy at the cottage. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival outset a very welcome and they have delicious bread. The house was perfect for me, since I'm in a wheelchair. The roads in the area are superb, I could also come across the gravel paths were doing fine. The pools were great for the aid workers, who have really also enjoyed the paddle boats and the horse + donkey were popular. . is special to me there requested a raised toilet and installed. Praise for good care. The environment is very beautiful, we have been several times in this part of France. Very worthwhile.

The park is beautiful, the house with especially the large garden has a lot of space and privacy. We were lucky with the weather and have mainly sat on the terrace. We have (with a sud of biotex and broom) also immediately stripped of a slippery layer of green, so that we ourselves could use a fresh terrace. This accommodation is for sale and if we had money, we would certainly consider a purchase and make the following changes attic micefree, tile floor entire house out and isolate, countertop kitchen partially raise so that a non-wheelchair in the kitchen also good use without back pain, tiles counter top because the joints mold, a larger and well-working dishwasher in it (in 2014 it has already been reported that the dishwasher does not work and in 2018 "he did not yet), in the large bedroom we would close the closet with curtain or sliding door, in both bedrooms the beds could be reinforced, in the bathroom we would make a less mold-sensitive floor and place a wall or shower curtain, hang the showerhead / shower bar higher, replace the washbasin with two smaller ones (one high and low) washbasins to accommodate non-wheelchair users and we would replace the dining room chairs because they are (probably by d e mice) eaten. On the terrace we would do an architectural check because a standing beam is moldy and hollow. Still, it was a good holiday, partly because we could sit on the beautiful covered terrace so much.

The house is very nice, nice partly covered terrace and big garden, nice for the dog. Unfortunately, we got rain for a week, so we went home a week earlier. It was difficult to eat outside, the castle Was close, and the restaurant is often occupied by parties. The surroundings are very nice.

10 days enjoyed this beautiful location. The cottage we had booked was Sechoir. A beautifully converted dry shed. We have had a nice holiday with this charming house. What was provided with a small washing machine, small dishwasher, NL channels and free WIFI of all conveniences. We are well received daily by the staff of this domain. There were even Dutch speaking staff, but also French staff went out of their way to speak English. The houses are beautifully situated with lots of privacy. We did not have a private pool, but did have a pool around the corner. The swimming pools of the park are more likely to be larger than they actually are in the picture. In the picture it looks like you look straight from the castles from the castles pool, but due to the huge differences in height. Of course, this does not matter, but it may be a fool for some. The domain is very beautiful and extremely hilly but a lust for it also for hikers. Golfers have a big 9 hole golf course, but for us this had no added value. The courses were neat and cut daily. We have been in mid September. In tourism, however, it is extinct in the surrounding villages. However, this is a nice base for visits to various castles, caves or beautiful Bordeaux.
