The gazebo is directly accessible from the house. Thus perfect for a morning breakfast, relaxing reading or enjoying the sunset
In addition, the cottage has a basement with direct access to the ground level terrace. So another bedroom with two large single beds and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The basement is available for 3 to 4 people when booked.

Mira Cottage is located on the Mira River, a quiet river seascape. The next town is Marion Bridge with a gas station, a convenience store, the post office and it can be reached in 5 minutes. The closest city is Sydney with an old town centre, shopping malls, restaurants, movie theatres, a harbour, and the hospital and it is only 15 minutes away.
Mira Cottage is designed as an ideal holiday home for 2 persons. The first floor offers all you need for a perfect stay, to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Mira River. The cottage-attached gazebo gives you the comfort of enjoying an excellent breakfast in the morning 'outdoors', reading a book or watching the sun going down on Juniper Mountain.
For 3 to 4 persons the cottage includes a walk-out basement which provides a second bedroom with two queen size beds, own bathroom and direct access to the ground floor deck.
NOTE: This is an adult-oriented cottage. Children 14 Years and Older welcome.
No pets allowed. Smoking is not allowed.

We are Bridget & Joe. Our first visit to Cape Breton Island was in 2005 and it was love at first sight We didn't think twice, sold all our belongings in Germany and moved to Cape Breton Island in 2011. That's almost our whole story! Cape Breton has a special charm. It is easy to get in touch with the people. They are always friendly and very communicative. The daily rhythm is slower, life rolls at its own special pace, it is more relaxed and shaped by nature. At the end of our holiday in 2005, our property was bought and we were sure to spend the rest of our lives here.
