Description
You would like to spend your holiday in the beautiful Allgäu and are looking for accommodation with plenty of space and a large garden, then you are very welcome here.
We rent out a holiday home built in 1980, which was partially renovated in 2021.
On the ground floor you will find a bright dining/kitchen area with a high-quality new kitchen, underfloor heating and a small south-facing terrace. A storage room with another fridge-freezer combination is also available.
From the living room with a new XXL TV you have direct access to the large garden with a covered terrace with awning. There you can relax and unwind on sun loungers under the old trees. End the day comfortably with a barbecue or at the fire basket. When the weather is nice, your children will enjoy the trampoline, basketball hoop and paddling pool with mini bouncy castle. A climbing frame with swing and slide will also delight our little guests.
On the ground floor there is a bedroom with 2 single beds 90*200 and a WC with shower cubicle.
Upstairs is a separate area with 2 bedrooms with new box spring beds 180*200 and a bathroom with WC, bathtub with large rain shower and shower blind
On the upper floor there is another vintage room with a double bed 2*100*200
A bedroom with new box-spring bed 180*200 and south-facing balcony, bathroom with WC and bathtub as well as a children's/youth playroom with TV and Playstation 4 are located in another separate area on the upper floor.
Washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron are available in the basement.
A further shower cubicle can additionally be used in the boiler room.
A large hobby room with a high-quality treadmill, dart board and table tennis table round off the leisure facilities
Three bedrooms on the first floor are equipped with mosquito blinds.
The beds are freshly made. Towels are also provided for you.
Near the "Knolle" there is a butcher and a bakery that also offers a very good breakfast. A Greek restaurant with a beer garden is also within walking distance.
Marktoberdorf is centrally located in the heart of the Ostallgäu and in 20-30 minutes you can reach the cities of Kempten, Kaufbeuren and Füssen with countless sights and leisure activities. Our mountains and lakes are always worth a trip in summer and winter.

Location and surroundings of object
The "Knolle" is located in Marktoberdorf in the district of Thalhofen. Take a walk along the Wertach, visit the railway museum, the AGCO-Fendt Forum or go to one of the nearby bathing ponds or lakes. For example to the Ettwieser Weiher, 3 km away, in 4km you can reach the Kuhstallweiher, in 7km the Elbsee. In less than 30 minutes you can reach our Allgäu Alps with a variety of leisure activities. Wonderful lakes such as the Forggensee, Hopfensee, Weißensee and many more invite you to hike and, depending on the season, to swim or do winter sports.

Dream accommodation
Dear Volland family, We thank you for the warm and cordial welcome. We all enjoyed our holiday time at the Knolle very much.
I would like to describe everything, but then it becomes a novel, in one word a (dream). There is something for everyone small and big, really everyone will be thrilled (it is huge). I suggest everyone make the journey themselves and see for themselves.

Beautiful, family-friendly home.
We spent a few days in Marktoberdorf at the Knolle over New Year's. The house is wonderful and offers enough space for several families. The kitchen also leaves nothing to be desired. The landlords are very nice and helpful. We would love to come back :)

Perfect all round for our family holiday
We were very happy to have found this great holiday home for our family holiday with 10 people (grandparents + family with 2 children 10 & 15 + family with 2 children U3). We were not disappointed on site, we received a very warm welcome at the Knolle and enjoyed our stay to the fullest.
The Knolle is within walking distance (a few minutes walk) to the centre of Marktoberdorf. Many shopping facilities for daily needs are nearby and the location is also great for excursions of any kind. With very young children, we recommend the Schongau fairytale forest and zoo, and the many great lakes are also worth a day trip
Thanks to the playroom, large garden with trampoline, mini bouncy castle, play structure with swings and slide, paddling pool, table tennis table and Playstation, the kids were also happy during their excursions.
We will definitely book the Knolle again and definitely recommend it to friends.

Very nice accommodation with great facilities
We were in the Allgäu over New Year's Eve and felt very comfortable in the house
It is very tastefully furnished and offers plenty of space for a large family. The children had a great time playing table tennis and darts in the basement. The playroom was also great and the huge TV was of course a big hit with the kids. The open kitchen with good equipment and the stools was very cosy and we enjoyed this especially in the evenings when we cooked together.
We will recommend the house to others and will be happy to come back, hopefully with more snow, which was the only thing that was missing

Sehr schönes Haus
Ein sehr sauberes und gut ausgestattetes Haus, wir haben und sofort wie zu Hause gefüllt.
Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und in wenigen Gehminuten erreicht man alle notwendigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
Familie Volland hat uns sehr herzlich begrüßt und durch das Haus geführt.
