Description
In the traffic-calmed holiday home area in Hooksiel, near the beach and opposite the grounds of the seawater wave pool, lies our holiday home (end house of a three-unit row house).
The garden is separated from the middle house by a fence and features a sheltered terrace with garden furniture, loungers, a beach chair, and a sun umbrella. Those who enjoy grilling can use a charcoal grill or a Weber gas grill. There are wipeable floors in the house and no feather bedding. Bringing pets is not allowed.
On the ground floor there is the entrance area with wardrobe and stairs to the first floor, a newly renovated guest WC, the living-dining room with access to the terrace, as well as the kitchen. This is equipped with common electrical appliances such as a ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, etc. In the living room there is a dining table as well as a cozy sofa corner with a smart TV.
On the first floor, a small hallway leads to the newly renovated shower bathroom and two bedrooms, which are equipped with a double bed, two single beds, and insect screens. Additionally, a travel cot for small children is available. The staircase here is secured with a stair gate for small children.
A high chair for small children is also available. An internet connection can be used free of charge via Wi-Fi.
In addition, time in the house can be spent with board games, books, and a smart TV (Netflix-capable).
In front of the house there is a concreted-in bicycle rack for locking up bicycles.
In the shed, two beach chairs, a beach shell, and sand toys are provided for our little guests.

Recommended
We felt at home from the first moment. The house is cozily furnished and equipped with everything one needs. The town center with a good selection of restaurants/cafes is about a 15-minute walk away, a bakery, and the indoor pool are only about 100 meters away. During long walks on the (sand) beach, we were able to enjoy the tranquility.

Cozy clean holiday home
Everything was great and to our satisfaction. We were able to recharge a bit in these few days. The apartment had everything we needed; everything was on site, and we felt very comfortable. You can tell that the apartment was tastefully furnished with a lot of love. We hope that we can spend time in this vacation home again next year.

Super clean feel-good house
From the first entry to the last moment, we felt very comfortable in this beautifully and lovingly furnished house. Spacious, modern, and equipped with more items than we thought possible. Books, games... everything carefully chosen with great heart for big and small guests. There was so much we couldn't use in the short time, such as the beautiful garden furniture, the beach chair, the grill, the waffle maker... We definitely have to come back?! The mosquito nets on the upper floor were worth their weight in gold. The beds were comfortable. Thank you very much!

Lovely holiday apartment
Our family with two small children spent a week vacationing in this house at the beginning of August. We immediately liked the location, nestled in a small settlement by the dike. The amenities leave nothing to be desired. It is nice that the landlords also think of the children and provide many toys and storybooks. The apartment is also not so cluttered that parents constantly have to worry about the children breaking something. The 5 critical things like flower vases and radios are quickly put away. Where the hosts have really thought it through are the childproofing measures on the first floor and the mosquito nets in the bedrooms. This way, you can be sure that none of the children will fall down the stairs in an unobserved moment. The mosquito nets were probably installed due to the hosts' own experiences. This shows that the Brode couple also uses the house themselves and does not just "cash in" on willing-paying holidaymakers. We can wholeheartedly recommend the holiday apartment to other families.
Here are two small practical tips for other holidaymakers:
- The playhouse in Hooksiel is on the direct path to the town center of Hooksiel. This way, parents can also combine a walk in bad weather with the fact that the children can have fun on the way back. The equipment here is also flawless, and some of the play devices are still unused.
- For a day trip to one of the islands, it’s worth checking upon arrival in the parking lot if an app can be used. We were on Spiekerogg, and after leaving the ship, there were two huge lines at the parking machines. With the Easypark app, we could have saved 30 minutes. However, the parking process must be initiated right when parking. It doesn’t work afterwards.
