Beautiful old house, which already has its charm simply due to its age. However, it could be significantly more charming with - a style-appropriate - decor and a slightly more well-kept exterior. Then one would certainly find it much easier to "overhear" the noise of the house. We made it nice for ourselves - however, the owner should be careful and invest - there are still many other beautiful holiday homes on the island that are definitely "charming" to live in...

The garden is a dream. We really liked the captain's house... Beautiful location in Oldsum. Great service with bedding & towel change. We will come back :-)

The house may be aging, but it is very well-maintained, clean, and cozy. It has a great location, and we felt very comfortable. Although it is a semi-detached house, you can't hear the neighbors at all. The sauna is simply wonderful, especially in winter. Where we see some room for improvement is in the kitchen supplies. Although there are many dishes available, a good kitchen knife, a pasta strainer, a cooking spoon, and a larger pot are missing. We can highly recommend the house and will definitely come back.
