Cosy detached holiday home directly on the lake, with sauna, for a pleasant comfort holiday.
Our holiday home has a large living/dining room with a direct view of the lake.
The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired.
The spacious bathroom with adjoining sauna and outside door to the lake invites you to relax.
There is a bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor and one with two single beds upstairs, a cosy gallery with a view of the lake and a separate WC.
A large terrace with garden furniture and barbecue awaits you.
A car parking space is located right next to the house.
The rowing boat on the house's own jetty is at your disposal.

The house is a non-smoking house The small town, which is over 750 years old, is rightly called the town of lakes and forests in the heart of Mecklenburg. Even today, you can discover many contemporary witnesses of its eventful history, the restored town hall with its unique market square ensemble, as well as the early Gothic brick church and the mill gate.
Many of Sternberg's institutions are worth a visit, such as the local history museum in the town's oldest town house, or in the district of Groß Raden, the Oldtimer Museum and the State Archaeological Museum, which is unique in northern Germany.
Visitors to the former state parliament town and today's resort town will find many other sights in the immediate vicinity, and those looking for relaxation and recreation will certainly find it in Sternberg.
The picturesque hilly landscape with almost 90 lakes in the immediate vicinity is considered one of the most beautiful in the country and is especially predestined for hikers, water walkers and anglers.

cozy family time
We spent a relaxed week here with our family - far away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by lots of fresh air and nature. We didn't lack anything in the house. We were welcomed very friendly and especially spontaneously, and always well taken care of.
We felt comfortable and at home and would love to come back.

Relaxing holiday at the lake
The house is located right on the lake, with the bathing area in view.
We spent wonderful, relaxing days in this holiday home.
From booking to departure, it was a complete success. This is how holidays should be.
The pictures and description of the house fully match reality.
The internet worked and the data volume was sufficient, after all, we were on holiday in a dreamy area. As sauna enthusiasts, we enjoyed having a sauna in the house and the rowboat right in front of the house. Everything was very clean.
Many thanks for the very friendly and accommodating support on site.
Time passed much too quickly, so we will gladly come back.

Dreamy for relaxation and distance from the daily grind
First of all, the shortcomings listed in the reviews have been extensively addressed. We had 2 wonderful weeks with our 6-month-old Golden Retriever. The view from the terrace of the Großer Sternberger Lake was fantastic. This alone was pure relaxation. Privacy to the shore and neighbors was ensured by approximately 1m high hedges. The house was very well equipped, although one should not expect it to be as equipped as one's own home. But that goes without saying. We did not use the boat. There is a small bathing spot within throwing distance, but dogs are not allowed to swim there. To swim with the dog, you only need to walk about 5 minutes along the lake and find a public entry point with 2 benches, which also invite you to linger. We used the two rainy days for trips to Wismar, Güstrow, and Schwerin, and ended each day in the sauna. The supply of food is ensured by the 4 centrally located discount stores in the area, which can be reached within a 5-minute drive. Restaurants in Sternberg and the surrounding area are available. Due to the currently required table distances, a table reservation is recommended in any case. In conclusion, we can say that those seeking relaxation and recreation will feel more than welcome here. We will definitely come back.

Warning! Urgent renovation needed!
We were very disappointed with the condition of the holiday home. Mold, dust, and dirt throughout the house. On the day of our arrival, we were busy cleaning the kitchen, toilets, and shower. Strictly speaking, the floors, windows, and doors should also have been urgently cleaned. I wonder why the €60 final cleaning fee is charged? The bedroom smelled so strongly of mold that we were forced to sleep with the window open. Since our daughter is allergic, her health condition has worsened due to these circumstances.
The house urgently needs to be refurbished and renovated!

The idea is great, the execution not so fantastic.
The surroundings are really beautiful. However, the outdoor area is absolutely not inviting; privacy - non-existent! The house is well designed but not maintained. Everything just seems careless! We have compiled a list of deficiencies:
1. Shower drain very slow, shower head completely calcified, shower cabin not tight
2. Toilet flush defective
3. Some bulbs do not work
4. Kitchen utensils partly dirty
5. Garden not maintained, no usable seating area Garbage disposal system in the kitchen broken (actually for quite some time, as one could say it wasn't noticed in time) and temporarily repaired.
Cleaning inventory completely worn out and no longer usable.
Outdoor lounge chair broken - these are the "small things" that are very annoying and absolutely unacceptable at this price level!!!
Cleanliness is now a foreign word here. The proud 60 euros for the final cleaning, which were collected on arrival, are not justified by anything. We were so looking forward to a holiday in a simple idyllic atmosphere that we were very disappointed after all these negative impressions. In addition, we felt very disturbed by the construction noise (construction work on the side street, about which we were not informed or compensated). The location and concept are actually great for families with young children! That's why it's such a shame!
