a place to come home to
The place, the apartment, and Pema and Jan give one a feeling of complete satisfaction and harmony with the surroundings. For me, the place has something magical. If you are looking for a lot of peace and serenity, you will find it here! The terrace is beautiful, you have a view over the various patches of landscape and can sit for hours on the small outdoor bed and look at the sky. The people I was there with and I slept very well. I always fall asleep right away and wake up very refreshed. Also around the place, you can experience many things, hike, go canoeing, visit markets... but actually, you don't need that at all, the house alone already has such an effect! :)

charming holiday flat with grandiose roof terrace
we spent a wonderful week as a family of 5 with 2 dogs in the large holiday flat in this charming village house. the landlords pema and jan live with their good-natured dog in the lower flat, the contact was always nice and helpful, but never intrusive. the village is quiet and tranquil and you can reach many interesting destinations in the surrounding area within half an hour's drive. thank you very much for a lovely holiday week!

Best family vacation
After a wonderful family vacation, we can only warmly recommend the Goede family and their holiday apartment!
With two children (3 and 5 years old), we greatly enjoyed the friendliness of the landlords. They took care of us attentively and unobtrusively, introduced us to the surroundings, gave us tips, and made us feel like we had a real French home (for a time).
The holiday apartment is located in an ensemble with a courtyard, studio, another holiday apartment, and the landlord's residence. It is very well equipped and lovingly decorated; we especially liked the charm of the old walls. For one week, we stayed with friends (another family of four with children of similar age) in the holiday apartment, and even with eight people, the apartment proved to be very suitable. The picturesque terrace offers a magnificent view (including impressive sunsets) and has very comfortable seating.
The bathing area in the village stream is perfect for cooling off in the hot summer in an uncomplicated and idyllic way. Discoveries can be made everywhere, so you can not only explore the medieval village, but the surrounding area is also very appealing in terms of landscape. The bakery in the village (2-minute walk) is the best we could find during our three-week stay in France.
The possibilities for excursions are so diverse that we shouldn't even try to list them. We were very pleased with discoveries such as art markets, pottery markets, night markets, and direct farm sales. We enjoyed the foothills of the Cevennes with their river bathing areas, we were impressed by caves and the newly opened "Chauvet Cave," and much more. There really is something for everyone, and the children were happy as long as they could bathe in the stream at least once a day.
This vacation was exceptionally beautiful for us, and the accommodation was perfect.

Great holiday apartment with very nice landlords
We spent two great weeks in the height of summer with three boys aged 8, 11, and 13. The apartment is very cozy and well-maintained. The hosts are very, very hospitable and helpful, for example when it comes to obtaining information locally (canoe rental, markets, opening hours, etc.). They also gladly show worthwhile destinations in the surrounding area. We saw a lot and accordingly were also on the road a lot by car. Nevertheless, we didn't manage to do everything, as the activities you can develop are so diverse. We all really enjoyed our time at Jan and Pema Goode's place and happily recommend their house.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen ganz nahe am Hausbach Claysse. Schöne Aussicht: Flüsschen und Burg und die hohen Platanen, die Schatten spenden.
free time activities: Kanu fahren, diverse Badestellen an den Flüssen aufsuchen,klettern und radfahren, angeln, verschiedene Grotten besichtigen, Spaziergänge durch Wäldchen (Dolmen finden), verschiedene Märkte besuchen, Nîmes oder Avignon oder eine andere größere Städte besichtigen
shopping facilities: Im Ort gibt es eine Epicerie und einen Bäcker, die Grundversorgung ist also garantiert. Supermärkte gibt es z.B. in St. Ambroix. Der Campingingplatz am Ort hat auch eine gute Küche, man kann dort abends nett sitzen.
