Hilders - in the middle of the Rhön
The state-recognised climatic health resort of Hilders (460-800m) is located in the heart of the Rhön in the middle Ulstertal valley and is surrounded by magnificent low mountain range scenery. It is not for nothing that the region bears the title of biosphere reserve awarded by UNESCO.
Hilders meets all the requirements of an ideal holiday resort. Gastronomy with upmarket cuisine and typical regional specialities, the modern Ulsterwelle leisure pool with sauna facilities, the Milseburg cycle path, cultural events and numerous sports facilities. All this will make your holiday an experience.
Activities in the Rhön
The Rhön, in the border triangle of Hesse, Thuringia and Bavaria, with its unspoilt landscape is known as the "Land of Open Distances", as magnificent panoramas open up again and again from the mountains. For excursions, the nearby Wasserkuppe (the highest mountain in Hesse) offers a wide range of leisure activities, such as aviation of all kinds.
A special "treat" for cyclists is the family-friendly 27 km Milseburg cycle path, which runs along the former railway line to Fulda. A highlight here is the route through the 1.3 km tunnel. Hilders also has the popular Ulsterwelle adventure and leisure pool, a swimming pool for the whole family.
Furthermore, in and around Hilders: fishing, bicycle rental, mountain hiking and mountaineering, cardiovascular trail, bowling alley, golf and miniature golf, Auersburg castle ruins, mountain biking, indoor riding arena, alpine and Nordic skiing with lifts and cross-country ski trails, traditional customs, tennis, hiking on premium hiking trails, wellness offers, folklore festivals, museum villages, music performances, theatre events, nature trails, playgrounds etc.

Pure relaxation
In our opinion, the flat is perfect for getting away from it all.
It is exactly as promised in the advertisement, we and our dog felt really comfortable from the first second. This will certainly not be our last stay in Hilders
recommend for: disabled persons, seniors, holiday with pet, holiday for singles, romantic holiday
