Description
The private lake access and own bathing bay are in the immediate vicinity. The path is located at an apple orchard and flower meadows, the lake is within walking distance in about 400 mtr. The two modern wooden bungalows are located directly on the Drau cycle path, a highlight for cycling enthusiasts.
The small village with a family-run cider tavern has remained untouched and undiscovered for many years and thus the apple orchard could rest, the lake shores and meadows undisturbed preserve their biodiversity.
The island was accidentally created in the 70s by work on the riverbed and is a real insider tip due to the untouched nature, a bathing lake with drinking water quality and the pure air. At that time no one was aware of the enchanting beauty created in its originality, in a unique landscape with riparian forests, sandy rocks and riverbeds along the old Drava, which gently nestles around the island like a loop.
Living and feeling good
Our two sustainable wooden bungalows " Freiblick" and "Wildenstein" from local forests in timeless and modern style, become one with nature. Each bungalow has an east and west terrace, so you can enjoy the sun from sunrise to sunset. The own garden of approx. 600 sqm is newly laid out, there is a barbecue possibility for warm summer evenings at your disposal.
Large window fronts and the well thought-out staggered arrangement of the bungalows allow a lot of privacy. Harmony of closeness and distance combined with untouched nature.
In winter and on cool autumn days you can enjoy the cosy warmth of the fireplace. The bungalows are modernly equipped and furnished with great attention to detail and high-quality materials and interior. Both bungalows have a carport and parking space.
Bungalow Wildenstein
The Wildenstein is the larger of the two bungalows with 60 sqm and has a 1000 sqm newly landscaped garden. The apple orchard is in the immediate vicinity. 2 bedrooms with TV flat screen and a 160cm wide box spring bed and a 160cm wide metal bed ensure a restful, comfortable sleep. In the living/dining area with wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen, nature with all its facets is set in scene by the high window fronts.
The bathroom convinces with a spacious shower, two washstands and a separate toilet.

Pyramidenkogel lookout tower: The world's highest wooden lookout tower spirals almost 100 metres into the sky. An impressive sculpture in a beautiful landscape!
Other action-packed excursion destinations include the Flying Fox course at the Wildenstein waterfall, newly built since 2020, the new stage of the Draupaddelweg trail or the medieval archery course at Hemmaberg.

Wildenstein waterfall
A special natural spectacle: with a drop height of 54 metres, the Wildenstein Waterfall is one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe. From Linsendorf, after a walk of 8 km, you reach a platform that offers a view of the thundering masses of water. A spectacle that thrills visitors young and old.
The excursion can be combined with a detour to the remains of the Wildenstein ruins. From the Wildenstein waterfall, a (challenging) hiking trail also leads to the summit of Hochobir (2139 metres).
Ski and snowboard
The Petzen is the southernmost ski mountain in Austria and a mountain massif of the Karawanken in the border area of Carinthia and Slovenia. The Petzen ski area offers a magnificent view over the Jauntal valley and its mountains, hills and lakes. Those who want to experience a ski day on the Petzen, have numerous possibilities.

The golf course Dellach on the shore of the Wörthersee is one of the three oldest golf courses in Austria.

Far more than an insider tip are the fishing spots along the old Drau river. There are three fishing spots on the Drau and on the lake where you have fishing rights, please register in advance, there is a one-time fee.
Mountain bike trail Petzen
The Flow-Country-Trail at the Petzen is one of the longest mountain bike flow trails in the world and awarded by the IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) as the best of its kind worldwide. With countless bends, waves, tables and a gradient of around ten percent, it guarantees the popular "flow", the typical euphoric riding experience.
In addition, you can enjoy the view of southern Carinthia from several rest areas. Can also be ridden in rainy weather.
The Petzen mountain railway takes you up to the Siebenhütten mountain station. The trail begins after the Siebenhütten inn and ends directly at the valley station.

Fantastic stay!
"I would return to this accommodation again and again, everything is even better than described. The kitchen is optimally equipped, the premises are clean and modern, everything to the utmost satisfaction. Seehaus Carinthia
A dream holiday in every respect. The Seehaus Freiblick is the hammer with an equipment what you can only wish for. Furnished with a lot of attention to detail. You can only feel good here. The Drau cycle path is right next door, so you can enjoy the beautiful countryside. You can relax here and let your soul dangle. The peace and quiet is unique. Wow! This view! This calm!
We arrived and immediately fell in love
The bungalows are really stylish and pleasant. Flooded with light, you sit either facing east or south-west under the roof and can simply enjoy your homemade snack. Everything is available... Mia and Ingo are great hosts and attach great importance to cosiness. Thank you ?
The wood of the bungalow pampered us. The open view leaves nothing to be desired; we found that the layout was very successful and gave us a really generous feeling of space. The bed was extremely comfortable as my wife never travels without her own mattress again... don't need it (?)
And then the lake around the corner as well as in the direct vicinity. Wow!
When the peace and quiet took hold of us, we cycled along the Drau with our bikes and found nice pubs here and there... the cycle path is unique
In the direction of Klagenfurt on Lake Wörthersee, there is everything to buy and Lake Wörthersee can be reached in 20 minutes by car. We found it super close ... hustle and bustle and idyll ... what you want ... and what more do you want?

Great holiday in beautiful surroundings and great accommodation
Our expectations of the bungalow and the surroundings were met and even exceeded.
The bungalow that gave us a great "home" for the time was lovingly furnished and lacked nothing. A super equipped open kitchen invited us to cook with everything we needed. There was even a washer-dryer in a small storage room!
Through the two terraces you could enjoy the morning and/or evening sun.
In the evening, the fireplace made you feel even more comfortable
From Linsendorf, you could reach many activities in a short time by car. But also walks in the immediate vicinity offered relaxation in impressive nature.
Shopping facilities were available in the nearest villages (approx. 15 minutes by car).
We would love to come back again!

Pure relaxation in nature
We were in this beautiful bungalow at the end of September, which actually corresponds to the photos, offers a delightful ambiance and leaves nothing to be desired! Great design! Particularly noteworthy are the two covered terraces, where we could enjoy the sun and the tranquility in the morning and evening. The idyllically situated lake is a true natural gem. A place to be! There we could use the provided SUP. Another highlight is the adjacent Drau cycle path, beautiful and recommendable! As nature lovers and seekers of tranquility, we will gladly come back.

Ich würde immer wieder in diese Unterkunft zurückkehren, alles ist noch viel besser, als es in den Beschreibungen dargelegt ist. Die Küche ist optimal ausgestattet, die Räumlichkeiten sind sauber und modern, alles zur vollsten Zufriedenheit.
Ingo ist ein netter, zuvorkommender Gastgeber, der auf unsere Probleme bestmöglich und sofort eingegangen ist.
Aus jeglicher Sicht eine klare Weiterempfehlung!

Ein Träum Urlaub in jeder hinsicht . Das Seehaus Freiblick ist der Hammer mit einer Ausstattung was man sich nur wünschen kann . Mit sehr viel liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man kann sich hier nur wohl füllen. Der Drauradweg ist gleiche neben an, da kann ma die wunderschöne Landschaften geniessen. Man kann hier ausspannen und die Seele baumeln lassen . Wir sind angekommen und haben uns sofort verliebt.
Die Bungalows sind echt stylisch und angenehm. Lichtdurchflutet sitzt man entweder gen Osten oder Süd-westlich unter Dach und kann mit der selbst gemachten Jause einfach genießen. Alles ist vorhanden… Mia und Ingo sind tolle Gastgeber und legen Wert auf Gemütlichkeit. Danke Euch ?
Das Holz des Bungalows hat uns seelisch verwöhnt. Der Freiblick lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig; wir fanden, dass die Einteilung sehr gelungen ist und gab uns ein echt großzügiges Gefühl von Räumlichkeit. Das Bett war äusserst komfortabel da meine Frau nie mehr ohne eigene Matratze reist… brauchts nicht mehr (?)
Und dann der See ums Eck sowie in direkter Nähe. Wow!
Als uns die Ruhe gepackt hat, sind wir an der Drau mit unseren Räder und haben hier und da nette Lokale gefunden… der Radweg ist einzigartig.
Richtung Klagenfurt am Wörthersee gibt es alles zu kaufen und der Wörthersee ist in 20 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Fanden wir super nah … Trubel und Idylle… was man will … und was will man mehr?

Unsere Erwartungen an den Bungalow und auch die Umgebung wurden erfüllt und sogar übertroffen.
Der Bungalow der uns für die Zeit ein tolles "Zuhause" gab, war liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlte an Nichts. Eine super ausgestattete offene Küche lud mit allem was man benötigt zum Kochen ein. Sogar einen Waschtrockner gab es in einer kleinen Abstellkammer!
Durch die zwei Terrassen konnte man die Morgen- und/oder Abendsonne genießen.
Für ein weiteres Wohlfühlen sorgte am Abend der Kamin.
Von Linsendorf aus konnte man viele Aktivitäten in kurzer Zeit mit dem Auto erreichen. Aber auch Spaziergänge in näherer Umgebung boten Erholung in eindrucksvoller Natur.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten boten sich in den nächsten Orten (ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto).
Sehr gern kommen wir wieder!

Wir waren Ende September in diesem wunderschönen Bungalow, welcher tatsächlich den Fotos entspricht, ein herrliches Ambiente bietet und keine Wünsche offen lässt! Tolles Design! Besonders hervorzuheben sind die beiden überdachten Terrassen, wo wir sowohl morgens als auch abends die Sonne und die Ruhe genießen konnten. Der idyllisch gelegene See ist ein wahres Naturjuwel. A place to be! Dort konnten wir das bereitgestellte SUP nutzen. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der angrenzende Drauradweg, wunderschön u. empfehlenswert! Als Naturliebhaber und Ruhesuchende kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir waren im August/September 2021 für eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Bungalow.
Die Ausstattung ist genauso wie auf den Bildern zu sehen, das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Hier haben die Hausbesitzer einen wunderschönen Spagat hinbekommen zwischen einer modernen Einrichtung und ganz viel Wärme und Gemütlichkeit.
Ein sehr bequemes und komfortables Boxspringbett, lichtundurchlässige Vorhänge und die absolute Ruhe an diesem besonderen Ort haben uns sehr gut und erholsam schlafen lassen.
Man kann sich wunderbar in diesem Bungalow bewegen, der Esstisch hat eine tolle Größe und besonders die Aussattung in der Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen. Endlich mal genug Geschirr und Besteck sodas man nicht nach 1,5 Tagen schon die Spülmaschine anstellen mußte.
Ein Traum sind die beiden Terrassen! Morgens hat man auf der hinteren Terrasse schon Sonne um seinem Morgenkaffee dort zu trinken....am Abend kann man die vordere und größere nutzen mit einem schönen Loungebereich und einem weiteren Esstisch.
Der private Seezugang ist besonders hervorzuheben, mit einer sehr großen Liegewiese und einem flachen Einstieg in das Wasser.
Die Mostschänke konnten wir leider nur einmal nutzen, aufgrund von Betriebsferien war sie dann für den Rest unseres Aufenthaltes geschlossen. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es eine Forellenzucht wo man fangfrische Forellen kaufen kann - sehr empfehlenswert!
Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, findet hier einen perfekten Ort zum entspannen!
Wir werden wieder kommen :-)

Wir waren im August 2021 für ein paar Tage in dem Haus. Die Lage ist gut. Der See ist fußläufig zu erreichen, die meiste Zeit ist man dort unter sich. Das Haus ist neu, sehr stylisch eingerichtet, so wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Betten und Schlafsofa sind bequem. Etwas mehr Sonnenschutz wäre optimal. Der Außenbereich steckt noch in den Kinderschuhen, nächstes Jahr ist von der Bepflanzung mehr zu sehen. Als kleine Zugabe gab es ein SUP, das auf dem See benutzt werden konnte. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es zu Fuß keine, muss mit dem Auto erledigt werden. Die Mostschenke nebenan hatte aber an einigen Tagen offen, so dass man sich dort mit essen konnte. Teilweise war es aufgrund der angrenzenden Ferienhäuser ziemlich laut, die hintere Terrasse war dann nicht zum Entspannen. Den Service können wir nicht beurteilen. Wir hatten ein paar Problemchen, die wir mit dem Vermieter besprochen haben. Ansonsten haben wir einen schönen, erholsamen Urlaub verbracht und würden auch jederzeit wiederkommen.
