Hofra Farmhouse is a fully furnished genuine country house which combines rustic charm with modern comfort. This farmhouse forms part of the G & J Holiday Complex which is located on the outskirts of Victoria, just 10 minutes away from the centre and near to all amenities. There is a restaurant/pub ‘La Stanza’ less than 200 metres away. Down the road there is a general store and outside the parking one can find a bus stop where buses pass by very frequently. All the beaches are only 10 to 15 drive away!
This farmhouse is larger than either Andar or Mejda farmhouses as it boasts 5 bedrooms and can accommodate a total of 9 persons with ease and in comfort.
Entering through the main door, one finds himself in the very large pool-side area embellished with a pool-side shower, the pool itself which is 29 feet by 16 feet (8.84m by 4.88m), relaxing sun-lounging chairs for relaxing by the pool, a gas-barbeque and ample al-fresco dining facilities including an umbrella to provide shade from the overhead noonday sun.
The farmhouse proper is accessed through a door opposite the entrance door. One enters an open-plan lounge, dining and a fully equipped kitchen. The lounge part consists of two very comfortable couches and there is a 28 inch TV with IPTV Box for the guests' entertainment. WIFI is available free of charge. The dining area consists of a rustic-style table that can easily accommodate ten persons.
At the other side of this large area one finds the large comfortable kitchen equipped with a 4-hob cooking unit, a large oven a large fridge-freezer and a toaster. In the cupboards one finds enough cooking-pans and all the cutlery and cover necessary for ten-persons. Hot and cold water is available throughout the farmhouse. The furniture is pine throughout.
The bedrooms are to be found at either end of this main living area. There are two bathrooms each comprising a shower, W.C. and a vanity wash-hand basin. A room is also equipped with a washing machine for our guests use. The furniture is pine throughout. The bedroom configuration caters for all tastes since there are two double bedrooms, two twin bedroom and one single bedroom all for our guests's use. This means that this farmhouse can accommodate up to nine persons in great comfort. One can also enjoy a countryside view of part of Gelmus hill from this farmhouse. At the back of this farmhouse one can enjoy a countryside view from a terrace, which also overlooks a small garden.
Hofra farmhouse can be your base to discover Gozo - the idyllic "isle of Calypso" on the Homer trail, as well as the home of Ggantija - the oldest megalithic temples in the world: The citation in the Guiness Book of Records. states: "The oldest free standing structures in the world are now believed to be the megalithic temples at Ggantija in Gozo - from 3,600 B.C."

Ir-Rabat (Victoria) is the capital city of the island of Gozo. The name Victoria was given to the town in 1887 in honour of the famous British Queen’s Golden Jubilee. At the same time, the town was raised to the status of a city becoming officially known as Citta’ ir-Rabat (Victoria).
Ir-Rabat (Victoria) embraces both the Citadel, the ancient fortified city at the centre of the Island, and the surrounding town old Rabat (meaning suburb in Arabic and Archaic Maltese) and its modern additions.
There are many places of historical and cultural interest in ir-Rabat (Victoria). A visit to the Citadel is a must. Its towering fortifications afford superb views over the whole Island and within the Citadel are many of the main historical sites of ir-Rabat (Victoria) including the The Cathedral Museum, the Museum of Archaeology, the Folklore Museum, the Gozo Nature Museum, the Old Prison, the Old Gunpowder Magazine, the Grain Silos, the Battery and the World War II Shelter.
The centre of ir-Rabat (Victoria) is Pjazza Indipendenza (Independence Square), known as it-Tokk. The square is dominated by the Banca Giuratale, built between 1733 and 1738, formerly the seat of the municipal government of Gozo and presently of the ir-Rabat (Victoria) Local Council. In the mornings, there is an open market that shares the square with several open air cafes.
The magnificent St.George’s Basilica stands in a smaller square just behind It-Tokk in the heart of the old town. The web of narrow streets around St. George’s are the oldest in town and well worth a walk around.
In Triq ir-Repubblika (Republic Street), ir-Rabat (Victoria)’s main street, there are all kinds of shops, a couple of shopping arcades, pharmacies, banks, the Police Headquarters, and the Bishop’s Chancery, as well as La Stella and Leone Band Clubs in their respective homes, the Astra and Aurora opera theatres. In lower Republic Street (a little further from It-Tokk) is Villa Rundle Public Gardens, laid out by the British in 1910 and recently refurbished. With a variety of local and imported trees and a cooling fountain, the gardens are an oasis of peace.
Just off Republic Street to the south is Ir-Rabat (Victoria)’s main car park and the Bus Terminus. Other smaller parking areas can be found in St George’s Square, Savina Square, St Francis Square and St Augustine Square.
