Description
The private lake access and own bathing bay are in the immediate vicinity. The path is located at an apple orchard and flower meadows, the lake is within walking distance in about 400 mtr. The two modern wooden bungalows are located directly on the Drau cycle path, a highlight for cycling enthusiasts.
The small village with a family-run cider tavern has remained untouched and undiscovered for many years and thus the apple orchard could rest, the lake shores and meadows undisturbed preserve their biodiversity.
The island was accidentally created in the 70s by work on the river bed and is a real insider tip due to the untouched nature, a bathing lake with drinking water quality and the pure air. At that time no one was aware of the enchanting beauty created in its originality, in a unique landscape with riparian forests, sandy rocks and riverbeds along the old Drava, which gently nestles around the island like a loop.
Living and feeling good
Our two sustainable wooden bungalows " Freiblick" and "Wildenstein" from local forests in timeless and modern style, become one with nature. Each bungalow has an east and west terrace, so you can enjoy the sun from sunrise to sunset. The own approx. 1000 square meter garden, is half newly put on and half original nature garden, there a grill possibility is to you for lue summer evenings at the disposal.
Large window fronts and the well thought-out staggered arrangement of the bungalows allow a lot of privacy. Harmony of closeness and distance combined with untouched nature.
In winter and on cool autumn days you can enjoy the cosy warmth of the fireplace. The bungalows are modernly equipped and furnished with great attention to detail and high-quality materials and interior. Both bungalows have a carport and parking space.
Bungalow Wildenstein
The Wildenstein is the larger of the two bungalows with 60 sqm and has a 1000 sqm newly landscaped garden. The apple orchard is in the immediate vicinity. 2 bedrooms with TV flat screen and a 160cm wide box spring bed and a 160cm wide metal bed ensure a restful, comfortable sleep. In the living/dining area with wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen, nature with all its facets is set in scene by the high window fronts.
The bathroom convinces with a spacious shower, two washstands and a separate toilet.

Wildenstein waterfall
A special natural spectacle: with a drop height of 54 metres, the Wildenstein Waterfall is one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe. From Linsendorf, after a walk of 8 km, you reach a platform that offers a view of the thundering masses of water. A spectacle that thrills visitors young and old.
The excursion can be combined with a detour to the remains of the Wildenstein ruins. From the Wildenstein waterfall, a (challenging) hiking trail also leads to the summit of Hochobir (2139 metres).
Ski and snowboard
The Petzen is the southernmost ski mountain in Austria and a mountain massif of the Karawanken in the border area of Carinthia and Slovenia. The Petzen ski area offers a magnificent view over the Jauntal valley and its mountains, hills and lakes. Those who want to experience a ski day on the Petzen, have numerous possibilities.

The golf course Dellach on the shore of the Wörthersee is one of the three oldest golf courses in Austria.

Far more than an insider tip are the fishing spots along the old Drau river. There are three fishing spots on the Drau and on the lake where you have fishing rights, please register in advance, there is a one-time fee.
Mountain bike trail Petzen
The Flow-Country-Trail at the Petzen is one of the longest mountain bike flow trails in the world and awarded by the IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) as the best of its kind worldwide. With countless bends, waves, tables and a gradient of around ten percent, it guarantees the popular "flow", the typical euphoric riding experience.
In addition, you can enjoy the view of southern Carinthia from several rest areas. Can also be ridden in rainy weather.
The Petzen mountain railway takes you up to the Siebenhütten mountain station. The trail begins after the Siebenhütten inn and ends directly at the valley station.

A special New Year's transition on New Year's Eve.
As a small family (2 adults and 1 teenager), we were looking for a nice, quiet accommodation over New Year's and found one in Linsendorf. The bungalow is very well equipped and also has a great location (right at the end of the row). The beautiful interior and the extensive equipment made us feel right at home. On New Year's Eve, we were surprised with a small fireworks display directly behind the bungalow from the Mostschänke (closed in winter) and some shooting stars. It is an oasis of calm there - we could also see deer, admire ice crystals on the lake, and warm ourselves by the fireplace after a nice walk along the Drau. Firewood was also provided. Shopping opportunities can be reached in about 10 minutes by car in Grafenstein. Klagenfurt is not far away if you want to go into the city. For us, it was a wonderful break and a perfect transition into the new year in tranquility, coziness, and time for the essentials. Pure relaxation!
Simply a relaxing and recreation guaranteeing place! The bungalow offers everything you need and more!
Such a tastefully and extensively equipped holiday home made us feel very comfortable right from the start. Especially on the somewhat cooler days, the fireplace offered a nice cosy addition. The location at the lake with the possibility to use the SUP is great - too bad that it was too cold for us in October. You do need a car to get to the excursion destinations, but these are easy to reach with quite extensive options in the immediate vicinity
We enjoyed the snow on the Petzten, the amazing stalactite cave and the Wildenstein waterfall. Several climbing gardens are nearby. Tips and a comprehensive information folder for all kinds of leisure activities are available in the bungalow
For cyclists, the path along the Drava River is directly accessible from the house and of course there are many walking possibilities on site.
The super nice owners of the Mostschänke also provided us with great tips - and when we didn't want to cook - with baked goods and ribs to go
The contact with the landlords was completely uncomplicated and friendly! We can only recommend it and will definitely be back! :-)

Ein besonderer Jahreswechsel über Silvester

Wir haben als kleine Familie (2 Erwachsene und 1 Teenager) eine schöne, ruhige Unterkunft über Silvester gesucht und in Linsendorf gefunden. Der Bungalow ist super ausgestattet und auch von der Lage klasse (ganz am Ende der Reihe). Die schöne Inneneinrichtung und das umfangreiche Equipment hat uns direkt wie daheim fühlen lassen. Am Silvesterabend wurden wir überrascht mit einem kleinen Feuerwerk direkt hinter dem Bungalow von der Mostschänke (im Winter geschlossen) aus und einigen Sternschnuppen. Es ist eine Oase der Ruhe dort - auch Rehe konnten wir sehen, Eiskristalle am See bestaunen und uns nach einem schönen Spaziergang am der Drau am Kamin wärmen. Auch für Brennholz wurde gesorgt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in ca. 10 Auto-Min. in Grafenstein zu erreichen. Auch Klagenfurt ist nicht weit weg, wenn man mal in die Stadt möchte. Für uns war es eine wunderbare Auszeit und ein perfekter Jahresübergang in Ruhe, Gemütlichkeit und Zeit für das Wesentliche. Wir haben sehr entspannte Tage genossen. Alles war wie beschrieben und besser. Das Haus ist bestens und sehr Geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Die Umgebung war eine Wucht , kurze Wege zu den Bergen und Sehenswürdigkeiten.Tscheppachschlucht unbedingt ansehen !! Der See + SUP ist einmalig. Viele liebe Grüße an unsere Vermieter, schön Euch kennengelernt zu haben.Manu und Andreas

Einfach ein entspannter und Erholung garantierender Ort! Der Bungalow bietet alles, was man benötigt und noch darüber hinaus!
Ein so geschmackvoll und umfangreich ausgestattetes Feriendomizil hat uns von Beginn an sehr Wohl fühlen lassen. Gerade an den etwas kühleren Tagen bot der Kamin eine schöne gemütliche Ergänzung. Die Lage am See mit Möglichkeit zur SUP Nutzung ist toll - schade, dass es uns zu kalt dafür war im Oktober. Man benötigt schon ein Auto, um zu den Ausflugszielen zu gelangen, diese sind aber gut mit ganz umfangreichen Möglichkeiten im näheren Umkreis zu erreichen.
So konnten wir Schnee auf den Petzten, die tolle Tropfsteinhöhle und den Wildensteiner Wasserfall genießen. Mehrere Klettergärten sind in der Nähe. In dem Bungalow liegen Tipps und eine umfangreiche Info Mappe für allerlei Freizeitgestaltung aus.
Für Radfahrer ist der Weg an der Drau entlang direkt vom Haus aus befahrbar und natürlich gibt es viele Spaziermöglichkeiten vor Ort.
Die supernetten Inhaber der Mostschänke haben uns ebenso mit tollen Tipps - und wenn wir mal nicht kochen wollten - mit Backhänderl und Rippchen to go versorgt.
Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war völlig unkompliziert und freundlich locker! Wir können es nur empfehlen und kommen sicher wieder! :-)

Abseits des Trubels am Klopeiner- oder Wörthersee findet man hier in Linsendorf Ruhe und Natur pur. Wenn man doch mal mehr Menschen treffen will, sind beide Seen oder auch Klagenfurt mit dem Auto sehr gut erreichbar.
Der Bungalow ist eigentlich fast zu schade, um ihn an Gäste zu vermieten; die Einrichtung ist sehr hochwertig und geschmackvoll und es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen perfekten Urlaub benötigt.
Auf den beiden Terrassen kann man die Sonne den ganzen Tag genießen. Der private Badestrand des Linsendorfer Sees lädt zum Baden oder zu einer kleinen Tour mit dem SUP, welches kostenfrei zur Verfügung steht, ein. Für aktive Urlauber ist der Drau-Radwanderweg in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Radeln und Joggen.
Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr, sehr wohlgefühlt und wir werden wieder kommen, weil es noch viel in der näheren Umgebung zu entdecken gibt oder wir einfach die Ruhe als Familie genießen können.
