Exceptional hospitality, Gianfranco took great care of everything, whether it was an extra cleaning of the pool or vegetables from the house's own organic garden
The house was very clean, there are insect screens on all the windows, everything you need, from a cake mixer to a grill to a pizza oven, everything is there.
We were sceptical that there was no air-conditioning, but you really don't need it as there is always a wind blowing through the thick walls of the house due to the location.
A sensational view from the pool ... breathtakingly beautiful.
Also the ice cream in Poppi ... Parad Ice ... the best ever.
Thank you for the delicious bruscetta breakfast, rarely eaten something so tasty.

Fantastic

Casa Fantone is the ideal place to find the right balance, especially if you are used to the frenetic city life. In this enchanted place, with a breathtaking view of the valley and surrounded by nature, you can rediscover your origins. The house is equipped with every comfort, well-maintained and clean. There were 12 of us and everyone had their own space... spacious rooms and environments... and a wonderful swimming pool overlooking the beautiful Casentino valley. Not to mention the terrace with an amazing view and a beautiful oven where we cooked 12 delicious pizzas... The owner, who is very kind and helpful, made us feel at home right away, and even let us taste the products from his garden... genuine flavors! He also conveyed his love for this place. I highly recommend it to groups of friends or large families... a vacation to repeat.

Idyllic Tuscan Holiday

This holiday home is an insider tip. It is located in the Casentino at over 600m above sea level and offers a truly fantastic view over the sparsely populated valley of the Arno headwaters
Nothing is missing that belongs to a perfect Tuscany holiday home holiday: pool, loggia with pizza oven where you can bake your own pizzas, hammocks in various places in the garden and of course a good equipment of the house itself.
The spacious grounds are wonderful for children, they can let off steam while the parents enjoy the view and the atmosphere. Actually, in summer you can just spend the whole day by the pool - even if you personally don't like swimming or splashing around, you can just be enchanted by the view and let the hours drift by.
Depending on which fruits are ripe at the moment, Mr. Dei puts a box of home-grown organic vegetables/fruit in front of your door. And last but not least, we would like to mention the breakfast that Mr. and Mrs. Dei, who live in the neighbouring village, invite you to once during your two-week stay: Tuscan delicacies are served that will stay in your memory for a long time
We are regular guests and have been coming to this holiday home for two weeks every few years since 2002. Every time, it is an all-round successful stay.

Wonderful Casa Fantone

It was our second time in Casa Fantone, and it is definitely not the last. Everything is perfect for us; the house is authentic and eqiupped nicely, the pool is fantastic and the property itself is welcoming relaxation and undisturbed reflection. The owner, Gianfranco, does his best to make us feel at home, and he succeeds. I recommend that you book two weeks, since one is simply not enough at this little piece of paradice.

Unforgettable 2 weeks in a house with a soul.

In a group of 8 adults, we spent 2 weeks at the magical estate Casa Fantone. A beautiful place among hills, olive groves, vineyards, and cypress trees. This is exactly how we imagined Tuscany. An old, family home with history and soul, comfortably furnished. Spacious rooms, bathrooms, a kitchen equipped with everything necessary. Next to the house, a pool illuminated in the evening. Bicycles, hammocks, and a gym available. A huge garden where you can pick and eat tomatoes, nuts, figs, grapes to your heart's content. The view from the terrace where we spent every evening was breathtaking! And... our wonderful host Gianfranco! We were welcomed with a basket of wine and organic olive oil from his own production. Gianfranco and his wife invited us to their home for a fantastic Italian breakfast. Delicious!!! Gianfranco told us the story of Villa Casa Fantone, recommended places worth seeing, and was always ready to help. We learned how he produces his wonderful, organic olive oil, which fortunately can be bought and enjoyed in autumn and winter days in Poland. A piece of sunny Tuscany in a bottle. From Casa Fantone, we took trips to Florence, Assisi, Pisa, Cortona, Arezzo, Lucca, San Gimignano, San Marino, and nearby Poppi, Bibbiena, and Quota. We recommend the Casa Fantone villa to everyone wanting to relax and fall in love with Tuscany.

Dream house in a quiet, idyllic location

This vacation property is an absolute dream. Completely alone, very quiet, with a very large garden and large pool. It is very clean and everything is very well maintained, including the garden and pool. Gianfranco told me, we are not customers but guests and that's how you feel there too. He takes care of the guests and the house with a lot of love. We were a small group and had enough space. The kitchen is huge and there are places to sit all around the house. The house is a bit remote but it's no problem with a car.

Fabulous Villa

Pure Tuscany

A great house with a magnificent view. A wonderfully maintained large property with many seating areas and a lovely pool, table tennis, and much more awaits you. The house offers comfort and originality side by side, and the fireplaces create a cozy atmosphere. Gianfranco, the landlord, is friendly and helpful, and his olive oil is fantastic. Poppi is a worth-seeing small town.

We, four adults and two dogs, had the pleasure of staying at the property casa fantone at the end of September. Gianfranco and his hospitality are overwhelming. In the house and garden, there is everything that the heart desires. In the morning, sipping an espresso in the loggia, catching the first rays of sun and enjoying the panoramic view, while in the background Lucio Dalla sings his "Caruso":

Thanks for a wonderful week

We where 4 families spending our second visit at Casa Fantone. the house is big enough for us with small Children. We spent most of te time at the pool who has a fantastic view, but also the pizza oven, the football game and the cot where used a lot.

Gianffranco is a very warm and kind man, and did everything to get us a perfect week.
We strongly recomend to rent the house.

Casa Fantone - a five star vacation property

My wife and I, together with our children and grandchildren, 11 people in all, spent a fabulous week in Casa Fantone to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our wedding.
We spent a lot of time looking for the right holiday home for our group and I am sure that we found the best place in Tuscany. I actually think that it is even more beautiful than in the pictures.
The impressing house was perfectly located, the surroundings beautiful, and the view down into the Casentino vally below was gorgeous. We had space enough to sit and eat together in the big kitchen or outdoors, or just to relax by or in the spacious pool or some elsewhere on this great property.
The few hours when the younger grandchildren didn´t use the pool they had fun playing volley-fot-basket-ball, table tennis and table footboll or just reading a book in the hammock. Not to forget the welll equipped fitness room downstairs.
We also made trips to Arezzo, Poppi and the little village Quota where we shopped groceries in the tiny shop and had pizza in the small restaurant across. We will never forget the exciting play on the Casentino golfcource, beacause we left many bolls in the ruffs
On our anniversary day we enjoyed a delicious four dishes real italian dinner prepared and served by Gianfrancos sister in law, Maria Grazia, assisted by G´s wife Mafalda. What a wonderful evening.
Gianfranco is such a warm and honest person, a gracious host and a great source for information about the nearest region. The olive oil and dessert wine, hand made from olives and grapes from his organic gardens, that we got at arrival in a ”welcome basket", was excellent.
Every single day was absolutly like heaven on earth in the lovely italian sun and togetherness with our familily.
We whole-heartly recommend Casa Fantone, and thank Gianfranco for our most fantastic visit. All of us want to come back!

A paradise in the middle of nature

We spent a great week at Casa Fantone with three children (10, 10, 11) and a large dog. After a long search, we finally found something that suited us very well: endless space both in and around the house, no neighbors, great nature, pool, breathtaking views. It is even more beautiful in reality than in the pictures - that's really rare!!!
The landlord is a great man - nice, kind, accommodating. You can tell that he has a lot of passion for the house. He gave us many good tips and even made a restaurant reservation for us.
We really appreciated the fireplace in the large kitchen - cozy warmth in no time.
The house is absolutely recommendable in every respect.
