The newly built (3/2021) "Villa Lagadakia" is situated in a sunny position, 200 m from the sea and 500 m from a beautiful, small bathing bay on a 2,000 m2 plot. A beautiful terrace with sea view, a heated pool (20 €/day - April, May, October, November), olive trees and a shady pergola invite you to relax.
The holiday home has 2 floors. The two bedrooms with a bathroom (shower) and separate WC on the upper floor have a balcony with a great panoramic view over the sea and the white mountains (Lefka Ori). On the ground floor, in addition to a bedroom and bathroom/WC (shower), there is the large living and kitchen area. The washing machine and dryer are located in the basement.
In the outdoor area, shower, garden furniture, sunbeds, barbecue etc. are of course available. The holiday home also has - for fresher months - underfloor heating.
All rooms are air-conditioned and free wifi is available.

The holiday home is located in the west of Crete on the Akrotiri peninsula in a beautiful, sparsely populated, hilly villa area. The typical Greek villages Chorafakia and Kounoupidiana with shopping facilities, supermarkets , restaurants, cafes, taverns, bakery, butcher's shop, pharmacy, ATM, .... are reachable in a few minutes by car, as well as the sandy beaches "Tersanas" ( 1,5 km ) and "Kalathas" ( 4,3 km ), which are especially suitable for children. The small sandy rocky beach "Maherida" is about 10 min. away on foot.
To the village of Stavros, location of the legendary film "Alexis Zorbas", with some shops, taverns and 2 very beautiful sandy beaches (Sunset Beach and Stavros Beach) it is also only a few minutes by car.
The idyllic beach "Marathi" on the other side of the peninsula is about 25 minutes away.
All these beaches (except Maherida Beach) have sunbeds, umbrellas and showers. Tavernas and bars invite you to enjoy culinary delights.
Standup paddling and kayaking are offered at Kalathas Beach.
The nearest restaurant - Taverna Tersanas - on the beach of the same name can be reached on foot in approx. 18 min. (4 min. by car) and offers a very beautiful view over the bay.
The charming Chania with its 14th century Venetian harbour, narrow streets and waterfront restaurants is about 15 km away.
There is a bus connection, but a car is recommended.

A beautiful place
The house is really beautiful and ideally located to explore this part of the island.
All the amenities of the house are of high quality and offer all the desired comfort.
Everything is impeccably maintained and clean. The pool is really pleasant at this time of year. You can swim in it at any moment. You never get tired of this splendid terrace, with its olive trees and cicadas, which invite you to relax.
Monika is very friendly and quick in her communications. Thank you again :)
The neighborhood is peaceful, offering an unobstructed view of the sea. There is a small cove 500m away that is very pleasant for swimming. We were surprised because this cove is frequented by naturists, but everyone gets along without difficulty.
We really liked the town of Chania, which is a few kilometers away, as well as the Elafonissi lagoon, which is about 1.5 hours from the house. We also recommend the Tavern at Irene's, which is just a 5-minute drive from the house.
Time has passed so quickly. We will be happy to return to this house.
