The holiday cottage is as shown in the pictures, small but nice, just like the garden around it, perfect for the dogs. However, we were somewhat shocked that there was no washing machine, which we must have overlooked, but it wasn't a big deal since there are laundromats. What was problematic for us was that the warmer it got outside, the less we could stand it inside, as unfortunately there was no air conditioning or fan available, even though we kept the blinds down and the windows/doors closed; with the many windows in the bathroom, it heats up even faster, so an air conditioning unit would really be recommended. It was a very nice stay for everyone, and the location was relatively quiet; it's only a few meters to the water, but it's not a real beach, more of a canal. However, since it's shallow in the water for a long way and the corner is very quiet, it was optimal for the dogs to swim. If you want to go into the water yourself, you have to drive to another beach, but that wasn't a problem for us. There are many paths for walking, so it's very dog-friendly. However, it was somewhat difficult that the fences of the garden or the property are a bit low and larger dogs might possibly jump over them, and when neighbors are there with their dogs, one has to be careful that they don't bark at each other over the fence or even bite, one really has to be careful, it would be nice if the fence were possibly a bit higher. Otherwise, everything was fine, the rental was easy to reach and very nice. We would like to book it again, but not in the peak summer; I think in winter it is also very nice there because of the stove. For shopping or other businesses, you have to drive a few minutes.

We are always, actually every year, in this cozy and homely house. Everything is available that one needs to spend a relaxing vacation. Ideal for us 3, our lab with us. We like the proximity to the lake, the good walking opportunities, and also the many nearby excursion options. Not only across to Rügen via the directly available ferry port (except for the winter months, then it goes over the Sund Bridge in Stralsund :-)). Also no big deal for those who want that. There would still be much good to describe, but that would exceed the scope. Suggestion: Experience it for yourself, but let's also leave a few weeks free . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . This review always refers to the off-season, because we love the, at least then, obligatory peace and tranquility. We will definitely come back. We are happy to accept the 850 km journey. Addendum to the equipment: A wood stove with a viewing window would be nice, instead of the small closed one ;-) However, this does not lead to any devaluation. We found it absolutely great and cozy. The house is lovingly furnished and very well maintained; we and our two dogs felt very comfortable and would love to come back...
