The house is wonderfully modernized and furnished, the kitchen has a high work surface to my advantage. The dishwasher and washing machine work great, what might be missing is a freezer in the fridge, you just have to keep that in mind when shopping. Extra sideboard with coffee machine, kettle, and milk frother. The bathrooms are super clean. A large bathtub provides relaxation, there are two showers, and a toilet on every level. Bedrooms are sufficiently large. Below is a 140 cm bed, which is completely sufficient for the kids. Above is a 180 cm bed and the room is larger. What might be missing here is a wardrobe; there is only a clothes rack. The garden is huge and invites kicking a ball or similar activities, or simply lounging in the available deck chairs. Outside, a wooden dining set is ideal. In the morning, the sun is on the other side, and in the evening, plenty of trees provide shade. We had almost every meal outside. Rewe, Aldi, and Lidl are not far away, it can be done quickly by bike (4-5 km). Bike rental in the village is a bit expensive, we used the pick-up and drop-off service of the bike angels. The bikes had plenty of space in the shed. All in all, we had a great time.

We were at Deichherz for the sixth time, but for the first time in summer, and we enjoyed the week to the fullest! Swimming and flying kites at the Hungerhamm beach section, reading and relaxing in the garden, shared meals on the terrace. And as a special highlight, the renewed sighting of the sea eagle from the dyke just behind the house. We even spotted a spoonbill this time. We sincerely thank you for the stay at beautiful Deichherz and are already looking forward to the next time. Family Wockenfuß

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the house and its surroundings. The house is wonderful, very clean, beautifully furnished, and the garden is perfect with a dog (of course without a dog as well). We wanted relaxation and we got it. The shopping options from well-known discount stores are easily accessible by car in a short driving time and are also open on Sundays. Visits to Friedrichstadt, Husum, and SPO are manageable at a short distance. Tönning is just a stone's throw away. The local fish shop and the swimming pool are recommended. The internet at Deichherz is not always optimal... for us, it wasn't a problem, because we were on vacation and had the perfect relaxation.

Overall, everything was good... The area is very beautiful and SPO, Husum, Friedrichstadt, etc. are quickly accessible by car. The step in the living/dining area is not visible... risk of falling...! We had a wasp nest both above the front door and next to the terrace door, and despite the nice weather, we couldn't use the terrace... we reported this, but unfortunately, there was no response...

This historic thatched house is truly a gem! With the large, beautiful garden and the fantastic, modern, and stylish furnishings, it enchanted us immediately. The quiet location and the great landscape completed the idyll. A truly dreamy place that we definitely want to visit again.

The Deichherz is a beautiful holiday home near Tönning. From here, excellent destinations in the surrounding area (St. Peter-Ording, Büsum, Husum, Friedrichstadt, etc.) can be quickly reached by car. The house has a great large garden with a terrace deck. The highlight, however, is the view of the dike, where you can watch the sheep grazing from the living room up close. The furnishings are also top-notch, and the entire house is very modern and well-coordinated. Only the beds could be harder. Especially the small bed downstairs is really not suitable for tall people. However, we felt very comfortable and would gladly come back!

We spent a long weekend at Deichherz with a couple of friends and truly felt completely comfortable! The lovely little thatched-roof house is tastefully renovated and wonderfully furnished - with a great sense of detail, modern yet very cozy! We particularly enjoyed the seating area upstairs with the fantastic view! The kitchen and dining area are also nicely done, and we spent many lovely hours there! Only tiny criticisms: In the upper bathroom, there could also be a cosmetic bin, and unfortunately, we didn't have firewood - it was locked in the shed. The internet was somewhat slow, but it’s still nice that there is a solution for the lack of DSL connection! Both bathrooms are nice, but the lower one really takes the cake, with a huge mirror, a great lighting concept, and a shower that seems to come straight out of a wellness oasis. Additionally, the water pressure throughout the house is so good! With a height of two meters, one has to occasionally duck, and unfortunately, the shower doesn't go that high either, but it is an old house – the ceilings are not very high. We would have preferred to stay another week and will definitely come back!

A very well-equipped holiday home where no wishes were left unfulfilled. Very nice garden where our dog could move freely. Complaining on a high level - the small step from the living area to the dining area is unfortunately not marked or highlighted in color, risk of falling! We will come back!! Best regards.

Very beautiful house, lovingly furnished and absolutely quiet location. The garden is very well-kept and inviting. The grass was mowed twice while we were there; we always enjoyed that in the evenings :-) Many excursion destinations are easily accessible from there, such as SPO, Büsum, Husum, Sylt, etc. We lacked nothing, just a trash can in the bathroom would be great. Washing machine, freezer, induction stove, Nespresso machine, Bose Soundlink, simply super and high-quality equipment. Everything was there for the dog as well; four bowls and a great, large dog bed/basket. The Wi-Fi is not quite optimal, we had a mobile hotspot for our kids. The lower bed is also a bit narrow, but two kids or newly in love couples fit in super ;-) The landlords were very friendly and accommodating; we had to report a damage, which we could handle completely amicably and unkomplicatedly. We had two wonderfully beautiful weeks that, despite the mixed weather, will remain in our memory for a long time thanks to the great feel-good factor in the house (tea and card games by the fire...). The beautiful little thatched cottage has been lovingly renovated and wonderfully furnished - with a good sense of detail, modern yet cozy! With a height of two meters, you have to duck your head from time to time, and unfortunately the shower doesn't go up that high either, but it's an old house - the ceilings aren't that high.
We would have loved to stay another week and will definitely come back!

Lovingly furnished and stylishly restored old house directly on the dyke - the equipment leaves nothing to be desired. The only small points of criticism are missing fly screens and the mattresses could also be replaced. But that is complaining at a high level.
