The holiday home Wattwurm can be recommended at any time. However, if you are traveling with a (large) dog, it would be beneficial if a scrubber were available to wipe away the paw prints. The house Wattwurm is located on the edge of a holiday home complex made of wooden houses in the so-called Danish style behind the dike with a small railway (hardly heard - but visible) in Dagebüll. The house and its interior are beautifully and newly furnished in bright, warm harmonious colors - like all these wooden row or semi-detached houses in Dagebüll. Anyone planning to travel here with teenagers, or who urgently relies on a functioning Wi-Fi or other mobile data connection for other reasons - should NOT go to Dagebüll and especially not to the Wattwurm house - Wi-Fi works not at all - mobile data via T-Mobile is also very poor - with 1&1 it is still bearable, but also very slow and limited! The data cables for the internet are probably already laid - maybe it will be better in a year, but in autumn 2017, the internet in Dagebüll was not accessible - those who appreciate that are exactly right here! Dagebüll offers the opportunity to take the ferry to Föhr and/or Amrum or to drive/train first to Niebüll and from there take the train to Sylt. At the moment, a lot is being built and repaired in Dagebüll. A small merchant is part of the wooden house holiday complex - but you cannot fully cater for yourself there during the vacation - you can find rolls, sweets, drinks, and knick-knacks, but for everything else, you drive by car to the large supermarkets in Niebüll. In the immediate vicinity, there are 3-4 hotels with restaurants, a café, a snack bar, and a small fish restaurant. One is not necessarily forced to provide oneself with warm meals, although it works very well in the Wattwurm house: stove, oven, microwave work, even an electric mixer and baking pans were there. Those who can should bring coasters from home, as they are completely missing, and just a plastic cutting board is not always sufficient. Porcelain dishes are plentiful, glasses and cereal bowls are somewhat few, but one manages. In autumn 2017, one could not access the dike or the small beach - but from 2018, that should be possible again. The sauna is of course nice and was used by us as well. Overall, we liked it, but next time we would probably choose a different house or even a different location.

We were in the holiday home for the first time. We liked the furnishings. Other than the showers not draining properly, there was nothing to complain about. The train passes right by the house, so you get woken up by the first train around 6:45 AM if you sleep with the windows open. It didn't bother us, as we were always in bed early from the fresh air. We really liked the number of towels, that soap was provided, and that the house was ready for occupancy (the beds were made, etc.), so that we didn't have to take care of anything. If we go back to the North Sea, we would book the house again.

We booked the duplex for a family vacation with 11 people and 2 dogs. The booking inquiry was promptly and very kindly answered. Any further contact was truly friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, we needed help on Sunday evening due to a technical defect - but despite the day and time, we received immediate (and truly friendly) assistance. At no point did we feel unwelcome. The houses themselves are spacious and very clean. The furnishings are really tasteful, and the beds are very cozy. There are 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and one with a bunk bed). Everything needed for self-catering is available (dishes, etc.). The location is very convenient for any excursions, as both the train station and the ferry terminal are easily accessible on foot. Our 2 dogs also felt very comfortable - the houses were specially fenced. Right behind the houses runs the train track - however, the train passes by so slowly and infrequently that it does not disturb at all (and we are very particular about that). The location is overall very quiet - no noticeable car traffic.

The holiday home is located very quietly but still centrally and is an ideal starting point for excursions, as the ferry is easily reachable on foot in just a few minutes. The amenities leave nothing to be desired, and the house really offers a lot of space and was very clean. The apartment is very spacious, and the rooms are indeed as large as they appear in the photos. Very good amenities, a grill, and garden lounges are available; we only saw beach chairs at the surrounding houses. However, the grill was slightly defective (the lower vent regulator was rusted), and we made a temporary fix. The neighboring houses had insect screens on the lower windows and on the terrace door, while our apartment only had them in the bedrooms. This should be improved. During our stay, the weather was not so nice and we had a lot of wind, which we couldn't shield ourselves from on the terrace, as we lived at the very end of the row of houses. A windbreak element would certainly have been helpful. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is available; one can even bake cakes. Finally, a vacation rental where there is enough dishware available. You don’t have to run the dishwasher after every meal. Very practical is the storage room - you can make supplies and other small items invisible there. The upper bathroom is pure luxury, with a huge shower, bathtub, and sauna. Our shower was not draining - a quick phone call, and 20 minutes later someone was there to fix it. As for the cleanliness of the apartment, we were satisfied; the terrace was heavily covered with cobwebs on the walls and doors. We were missing a broom and a mop. One should leave the apartment clean, but there is none available. Waste disposal is a delicate matter. Firstly, the garbage containers are constantly overflowing and very dirty, as is the entire garbage room. It’s almost like a living space.
