Beautiful family vacation in a great holiday apartment!!!

We were with our two daughters (4 and 8 years old) in the very well-equipped holiday apartment of the Ziegler family in the beautifully quiet Oberorke. We enjoyed the week in the best weather. The apartment is very well laid out and equipped for a small family. The Ziegler family are wonderful hosts (very helpful, nice, and unobtrusive). For the children, there are many play and adventure opportunities in Ober- and Niederorke. We would gladly come back in the summer to fully enjoy the very large and wonderful terrace, which feels like another big room in warm weather. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Ziegler family's vacation apartment in Oberorke!

A truly very beautiful and clean vacation apartment in a wonderfully quiet location.

Very nice and warm, yet unobtrusive hosts. For us, the vacation apartment was a true dream vacation apartment: inviting and lovingly decorated, without looking overloaded. Everything you need or could need is available. The large covered terrace is excellent for extensive, cozy breakfasts or just for relaxing. Suitable seating is available for all possibilities. The vacation apartment was also clean. The absolutely quiet location right at the edge of the forest in the beautiful idyllic surroundings was the icing on the cake. Our four-legged friend also felt very comfortable, not only because of the large meadow just a few meters away for romping and playing ball. We regretted not being able to stay a few days longer, but we will certainly be back. A heartfelt thank you once again to the Ziegler family for the wonderful holiday days; here, you truly feel the heart and soul in everything.

Very nice and spacious apartment in a great quiet location.

Very nice and friendly hosts. The apartment has everything you need and is absolutely clean in all areas. Additionally, a nice large covered rooftop balcony. The apartment is very quietly located on the edge of the forest in a scenic idyllic area near the Edersee. There are many opportunities to spend your holiday in the region; we went cycling, hiking, swimming, and also did some excursions in the surrounding area. A very nice holiday apartment

Highly recommended :)
Very nice hosts, we were warmly welcomed and the vacation apartment has everything you need and more, everything very clean and tidy.
The landscape is simply a dream, very quiet and lots of space for children or walks.
To make it short, we had a few very nice days there :)

Vacation between the years

We come again

We spent 3 beautiful days in Oberorke and the surrounding area and that was also due to the beautiful holiday flat of the Ziegler family. The contact beforehand and also on site was very nice and competent. The flat offers enough space and was very clean and tidy. The flat is furnished with a lot of love and good ideas and the kitchen is excellently equipped. Towels are available, even more than you need. The beds were very comfortable. We will come to Oberorke again and then for longer.

Holiday/short break with 4 people of the beautiful holiday flat of family Ziegler

An absolute recommendation for all who are looking for relaxation, peace and fresh air and want to follow the call "Back to the Nature". In agreement with the dog, we were with 4 people, 3 nights embedded in the bosom of the lovingly and carefully furnished holiday flat, on the edge of Oberorke. The holiday home lives up to its promise and in addition there is a wonderfully quiet environment free of charge, perfect for exploring with children and dog. The terrace is a dream and invites you to relax day and night. The kitchen is almost perfectly equipped! Very fresh towels and bed linen are available in abundance. A skilful hand with attention to detail, together with the friendly and warm nature of the family, make the stay so pleasant that you will be happy to come back.

Great weekend

Very nice landlords, the flat and the equipment are great. We felt very comfortable in the quiet location and the proximity to nature. The flat is also very dog friendly. We are happy to come back again.

Cold vacation apartment in former barn.

The holiday apartment is in an old, converted farmhouse. The location is isolated. The nearest shopping opportunity is 20 km away. Despite outside temperatures of 8 to 15 degrees in the evening, at night, and until morning, the heating did not work. There was mouse droppings and cobwebs in and around the entrance with the ancient and squeaky barn door, and it smelled musty inside the stairwell. The doors to the bathroom and the apartment were not tight, and cold air came in. There were cobwebs everywhere under the bedroom bed and on the terrace, and we had to get rid of them first. Hornets were flying on the terrace in the evenings. The refrigerator was moist inside and dripping. We left prematurely because the heating was turned off.

Pure relaxation in a quiet location

At short notice, I was looking for a nice, quiet place for a mother with 3 children, which nevertheless offers enough excursion destinations.
We were not disappointed with the holiday flat with the Ziegler family. The flat is very clean and nicely furnished
Directly in front of the front door, about 200 m, is a water treading pool with playground, which was of course very popular with the children. There is another great playground in the village. And other excursion destinations such as the corn maze, wild animal park and of course Lake Edersee were easy to reach by car. The flat itself left nothing to be desired, more than we needed for this week was available. The bedroom had enough space to put two travel beds for the little ones. The children were very enthusiastic about the large covered balcony, so they could play and romp here even in bad weather. The Ziegler family made us feel very comfortable and welcome at any time. We will gladly come back again for a time-out

Pure nature ? Everyday life can wait ......

We had 5 wonderful days ?
The surroundings are a dream our two boys loved it and we would come back again and again. The wonderful large terrace is the hammer ..... but also the rest of the accommodation is top ?


The Edersee is worth a trip and you can also hire boats and sail across the lake, it was wonderful ? But also the dam wall, which is illuminated in the evening, is awesome. there is so much to experience ....

Ideal for relaxing

The vacation apartment is highly recommended. We were looking for a quiet vacation apartment to relax and go hiking. We found exactly that and more! Many sights and destinations are easily reachable by a short drive, and we started many enjoyable hikes directly from the apartment. The Ziegler family warmly welcomed us and always gave us great advice on tours. The vacation apartment has everything you need and more (great furnishings, super delicious eggs from the producer,...). We have rarely stayed somewhere sooooo GOOD as with the Ziegler family, THANK YOU.

We have been coming on vacation to the beautiful Oberorke several times a year for many years. The vacation home offers everything you need and you immediately feel comfortable, which is mainly due to the hospitality of the landlords! The apartment is very nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need. The Ziegler family is very friendly. The location is recommended for kids as there is a playground with a soccer field nearby. You can also go for walks and hikes.

Everything perfect, gladly again.

For dog owners a dream, directly at the forest and meadow and at the Orke. The holiday apartment is fully equipped and the landlords very nice. You had to drive a bit to the Edersee, but that did not bother us, everything else fit.

Great holiday apartment in a dreamy location.

After being warmly welcomed by the Ziegler family, we found a super cozy, very lovingly and clean accommodation. The huge covered terrace is the absolute highlight in the summer months. It protects from the sun and especially in the rain, you can make yourself very comfortable there and enjoy the magnificent view. We lacked nothing in the holiday apartment. The village of Oberorke is very small and above all quiet. A dreamily beautiful spot on earth! What the children especially liked was the nearby playground, wading in the Orke River, and of course, the forest for climbing and exploring. The hosts are a very nice, child-friendly family. It's a good half-hour drive to the Edersee with its many attractions. We wholeheartedly recommend this vacation rental and are sure it won't be the last time we stayed there! A holiday to remember. Thank you.
