We had found the ideal accommodation for us for a long family weekend with children and grandchildren: sufficient space in and around the house. Communal meals at the large table, good kitchen equipment, separate bedrooms, pavilion in the garden, barbecue, large lawn for (ball) games. In addition, nice and child-friendly landlords. Our stay in this house in Benneckenstein was fantastic. The house (which occupies the entire first floor of the owner's house, and which is very spacious for a family with 3 children) is simply but cosily furnished. The kitchen is very complete, ideal. Excellent bathroom with bath, and two living rooms (1 with dining table, 1 with a large sofa). Around the house is a large garden, where the children could play (in our case, making sleds and snowmen). The owner was very nice and helpful. When we had bad luck with our car, he helped us find a garage. When it snowed, he lent us some sleds. He had good tips, and for the enthusiast: he knows a lot about the history of Benneckenstein and surroundings (for example, about the fact that the Wall ran right through the village). Benneckenstein is a quiet village compared to Braunlage (which is much more touristy). is). The kitchen is new and well equipped. You don't have to worry about a parking space and the spacious garden with seating area and grill invites you to linger. A shop with a bakery can be reached in less than 5 minutes on foot. We would be happy to come back
