Carlos and Maria were already waiting for us with the famous "Nata" and a bottle of Vinho Verde. What a friendly homeowners! In this house you lack nothing. Everything taken care of to perfection and all so clean. Lovely those 2 bathrooms. The patio with swimming pool and outdoor shower is lovely when it's so hot. The house is in a quiet area, about a 15-20 minute walk from Ponte da Lima. Very nice town with a lot of history, restaurants and a delicious ice cream parlor. You will also find a number of large supermarkets here. Braga, Guimaraes and Vigo (Spain) You can drive to the beach in around 30 minutes and we can certainly recommend Casa da Memoria to visit the north of Portugal.

We were very kindly welcomed by Carlos and Maria who gave us a tour of the beautiful "casa da memoria". An authentic house that has been renovated with a lot of style into a very practical holiday home. Very quiet location and yet within walking distance of the lively Ponte de Lima. There is a lot to experience in the nearby area. Walking on the coast, kayaking on the Lima, city trip to Braga or Porto ... The ideal base to discover Northern Portugal! We really enjoyed the casa and the area! Highly recommended!!

On arrival we were very well received by Carlos and Maria! They were always available if necessary. The house is neat and well maintained. There is a dishwasher, a washing machine, air conditioning .. The pool is blissful! The location of the cottage is ideal. Ponte de lima is a 15-minute walk away. Braga, Viano de Castelo, Porto, Caminha (the beach) is all to do by car.

Relaxed flight to Porto Airport (Francisco Sa Carneiro). It's about one hour to Ponte de Lima. The very kind landlords picked us up to guide us to the Casa. The Casa da Memoria is a charming, completely renovated historical building. Dishwasher, washing machine and air conditioner. Very nice pool in the courtyard. Quiet and calm location. About 10 minute walk to the lovely center of Ponte de Lima with shops, restaurants and a seaside promenade. Very good location to Porto, Barcelos, Guimarães and other historical towns. About 30 minutes by car to the Atlantic ocean. Great place for watersports. We recommend the Casa da Memoria very much!

Beautifully maintained holiday apartment in a very quiet setting. Jorge is a fantastic host and always reachable. During our stay, there was a major power outage across Portugal; Jorge was very concerned and immediately had suggestions on how to make the best of it. We can only recommend this accommodation.

The house "Casa De Memoria" looks small from the outside ... but is really spacious enough for 4 people. Nicely furnished also with every comfort. It is a quiet neighborhood, which we do appreciate. Be careful though, because the first day our GPS sent us through a much too narrow street, while if you turn a street further from the main road you no longer have a problem with the The owners, Maria and Carlos are super lovely people, and we were welcomed with a nice bottle of vVino Verde and Pasteis del Nata (Portuguese pastry, to lick your thumbs and fingers). We are here for 10 days, halfway through our holiday they were cleaned, the sheets were changed and the towels were changed. Exellente service so. It is a beautiful area, with plenty of opportunities to get out. Porto is only 1 hour away, and the highways are fine. The pool is small, but great for swimming. Not suitable for small children and/or adults who cannot swim, because it is equally deep everywhere. .

Ponte de Lima is a small town worth experiencing. There is everything, good restaurants, beautiful hiking trails, the Lima is a clean river where you can even swim. All within walking distance.

Our week at Jorge's Casa was wonderful, Northern Portugal is worth 1-101 trips.
